I'm using the left side d-pad, small buttons. I've messed around with edges but for now I get better precision with the d-pad.
I like the d-pad controls myself (large buttons), but I think most of the PixleJam team prefers the edge controls. What's your favorite weapons? My highest scores have always come when I've been able to get the homing missiles, powered up plus with rapid fire. But it's a little tricky to use. When there are lots of spitters to deal with my favorite is tennis ball, because sometimes stray balls will stay sitting around on the ground and the fire spitters will walk right into them and kill themselves.
Edge controls (although I still don't get how to jump properly) plus upgraded, rapid homing missiles = destruction fest... amazing feeling!
I reset the game three times already, but way too much credits again and nothing to do/buy with - any updates coming to change that ? Other than that, my brilliant GOTW !
I can't see my high score anywhere other than the Game Center leaderboard...? I hate the way Game Center works. My own score and achievements should be visible offline to myself! And this game asked if I wanted to use Game Center. What would happen if I said no? I see nowhere to change that choice. I should be able to see my own high score and achievements offline. And they should save without being online. Pointless online requirements... And look, it really is pointless! Can't see my score! Lousy Internet connection... Why should I even need to look up my own score and achievements online? It makes no sense.
This game makes me crack up sometimes. Once at a basketball game me and my brother started laughing nonstop because the dialogue was so dumb and funny. We got stared at. A little.
Please don't take this advice (especially from someone who hadn't even played the game). The music and sound FX are perfect. The way the music appears with the bosses feels ominous, and it adds the perfect mood to a light experience. This shouldn't be changed. Here's some real constructive criticism from someone who's played the game for hours on end. Awesome game, but I'm not completely satisfied with either control option. The edge controls feel perfect for movement but horrible for jumping. The D-Pad is great for jumping but not-so-great for movement. I'm playing on an iPad and I feel like the D-Pad, even on the large option, should be about 50-75% larger. Often times when I attempt to hit the Right D-Pad button my thumb over shoots the mark. I think there's two solutions to this: 1) give us customizable sizing/placement for the D-Pad option 2) give us an option to change the Edge controls jump function to tap each side simultaneously instead of swipe up. Also, the menu.. It's frustrating that sometimes you can't go directly to the leaderboards or the main menu to change the difficulty level. If the downloads permit, one thing I'd love to see in a future update is new comics and animation scenes. This is one of my favorite parts (particularly the Chloe & Zoe bits), but I haven't seen a new one in a while. Excuse me? I can't help but interpret that as rudeness. *cough* You missed the part where I suggested making an option for it. That would be perfect for everyone. And I still don't like the lack of music now that I've played the game, as I expected. But now I'm mainly irritated over the game not showing me my own high score offline. That's more important. Can you let me see my high score in the game itself instead of having to use Game Center? Game Center still doesn't work offline for my own scores and achievements. *sigh*
I completely agree. I really like the sound and music design as it is. It's super creative and well executed. No need to add constant music just for the sake of it.
I suggested an option for it! Optional! Sorry for the slight freaking out, I didn't expect another person to miss that part. Anyway... Can I just have my own high score visible in-game offline? That's not too much to ask for, right? Sorry I'm repeating myself, but why doesn't every game do that anyway? I don't get it.

Game Center was crashing a lot for me this weekend, not in Glorkian Warrior but in the Game Center app itself. I was able to solve the problem by doing this fix that I found online, with my own addition: Go to settings and Game Center. Log out from Game center. (My own addition) Tap the home button twice, then slide up on game center to quit out of it. Do a soft reset: Hold power and home button until you see the apple logo. When iPad comes back on, go back to settings and log into game center again Go to game center and hopefully it works.
Reset all achievements and checked the controls tutorial again. Suddenly it clicked, the default controls are now working perfectly for me. The jumping mechanics are unique, but once you get them they are flawless.
