Ha! Well, that would be amazing... but we probably won't do that. I do really want to design some new weapons, though!
Here's the flier for another event, this one in Burlington, VT. The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza comes out tomorrow in bookstores, and Wednesday in comic shops. If you like the Magic Robot in the game, he's like the final boss in this book.
I'll be looking for this ^ as I have fallen in love with the Glorkian Realm. Still the most played game on my device and even though I've collected all the specials and achievements in the game, the gameplay and overall culture of Glorkian Warrior is one of the few that will stand the rest of time and stay on my phone for years to come. I wrote a letter to my teenage self for the website Dear Teen Me: http://dearteenme.com/?p=7138 All in the name of Glork!
There was some sort of problem and the epub version has been delayed. My publishers are super sorry! The actual book looks aaaamazing though.
Cory Doctorow wrote a RAVE review of the book for Boing Boing: "I have never heard my daughter laugh as loud or as long as she did when I read her James Kochalka new kids' graphic novel, The Glorkian Warrior Delivers a Pizza. My six year old literally howled with laughter as I read this to her at bedtime, and kicked her legs in the air, and thumped the pillow -- tears of laughter rolled down her cheeks. After reading this to her twice at bedtime, I had to declare a moratorium on further bedtime reads because it wound her up too much to sleep. I loved it too."
We updated... What's New in Version 1.0.2 -Improved EDGE controls! -Fixed a rare issue that was preventing some players from advancing beyond the initial GameCenter screen -Personal high score can now be viewed on the progress screen
Hey guys, the new controls are really sensitive, maybe a tad too much. I'm jumping many times now where I didn't slide my fingers, hearing the jumping sound pretty often. But got some nice high score runs lately, so it feels a bit smoother, yes. Maybe a sensitivity slider will make everyone happy? Besides that, still playing like crazy. If you'll ever put some new content in, new dialog, new achievents, more of the robot, I would be reaaaally happy.
We're definitely working on new content. I drew a bunch of great new aliens this week, and a bunch of amazing bosses.
Possible suggestion: boss rush mode. And/or endless boss rush. And maybe some sort of multiple bosses at once mode too, if that would even be possible to survive. Just throwing out random ideas.

I found a couple of glitches. During a scene after dying, you can tap where the Leaderboard button is to activate it. And then it'll show up after exiting the Leaderboard screen, while the scene is still playing. In the area with platforms on the left and right, go to the left and jump one step up. Now hold left to run against the wall, and jump. You will not go up, you'll immediately hit your head on nothing. If this doesn't happen, move right a little then hold left (if you stop at the wall and then hold left it doesn't exactly get you stuck.) This is the spot:
Cute little fun game. Is there a really slow motion effect everytime we pick up power-ups? Or my device just get laggy?
During any of the post-death scenes, (at least sometimes?) it's possible to tap the leaderboard button during the scene even though it's not shown. And when you exit the leaderboard, the button is there.
One suggestion: I'm playing this game A LOT and I cannot stand the waiting time (although it's just a few seconds) when the score is calculated. I would love to make it run faster by simply touching the screen. Many games do it.
