Uh, yeah, I read that earlier in this thread. It is a different version on a different platform, and has no effect whatsoever on the pricing of the game for this platform. I'd buy it if I had the money, but like I said..I don't. So I hope it goes on sale like most games do when they are released- no matter how great they are.

Great game! I love it! I'm in the last world and it's getting really really difficult if you want to collect all the red diamonds.

    Slaving peon.
Not here; not there; not anywhere!
I've only played through the first world so far, but I'm really enjoying this. Giana Sisters was one of my favs on the C64, and this remake is very well made. Love the retro music and the pretty spot-on controls. :) Will be nice to replay the original levels once beat.

It certainly was worth the five bucks for me. Giana Sisters and Soosiz are my top favorites of platformers available on the iDevice.

    unbelievable....

 this must be the most silly comment i have heard in a very long time!

what's next? "the original game was written on a white coulored keyboard, this one was programmed on a black keyboard - will NOT be buying"?

so the graphics of this 5$-game are derived from a 30$-game of a different platform, so what? who cares where the graphics come from? it's just supposed to be fun (which it is) and nothing more.

by the way: Hello everyone, I'm new here....

    Cheers

I'm getting a vibe that this game won't ever drop its price, and stay at V1.0 indefinitely. The devs are German, probably won't ever visit here. They don't seem very in-tune with their customers. I hope I'm wrong, cause then I'd buy it.

There are a lot of Germans in here, since it's the most relevant site for the idevices. But besides sound adjustments, I really don't see the need for an update. It's a complete game, working very well and with a lot of content.

How do you beat level 8-1?! I've found the game to be somewhat easy up until World 8 and now I can't even get past the first part of the first level :(

I can beat the two Bazooka Bee's at the beginning but as soon as I scale the side of the castle wall, the Eyeball at the top kills me with one if it's projectiles before I have chance to react.

Hell, I'm getting tired of comments like this one. There is no reason why this game would need an update, and it certainly doesn't need a price drop. It's a great game, tons of fun, it works — so far I haven't come across any bugs — what else could you possibly want?
I really don't understand where some people get this strange feeling of entitlement — games should cost 0.99 and be updated with new content every other week. Why?

Also: they do have the interwebs in Germany, and some people outside the US have even discovered TA.

I'm having exactly the same problem!
Right now, I'm always jumping to an easy level to get the power up before entering that level, but still I didn't manage to beat it. Help welcome.

I'm on 5th map and some levels give me an headache because of the jumps (and the ghosts) :p I found the game 'easy' until this world, now I'm suffering (which is a good and bad thing as I want to finish the game).
Somebody has unlocked the retro levels?

Hum, doesn't the game cost $30 on DS?
About the devs, I don't know if they read here but when I spoke about the game on Twitter, they asked for a feedback ;)

With a large surplus of games I already don't have time to play, I'm admittedly one to wait for a sale these days before buying something new. However, given the style and good feedback the game has gotten, I went ahead and got it shortly after launch and am very glad that I did. While I'm only on the 2nd world, the game plays great, the controls work and the levels (thus far at least) are nice bite-sized chunks.

As i always say, I prefer a finished game for the full price instead of some garbage which is playable after 10 updates and then finally contains the content I expected months ago.

But if you like, feel free to wait for the upcoming update of Urban Tycoon instead of buying and playing a full featured high-quality game right now. It’s your choice ;).

    I hate world 8! I truly do!
I am in 8.6 right now. Every level is so hard, so not fun....
It's a bit too much compared to the other worlds.
I NEVER will get all the flags, I don't want to.

    Ok, back to game... :)

Hum, haven't you noticed the DS price (no affect on this game) has been brought up at lease twice in this thread, and responded to accordingly by myself? You hard core defenders are starting to sound like a broken record.."humph, DS price is $30"..oohh "nostalgic."

Its the small things that cause harm, such as one person mentioned there not being a confirmation if you accidentally push reset data. They probably thought the actual game was perfect, and most likely is, but overlooked a safe UI with a problem like that.

Don't assume and throw me into the cheap skates group. I'm certainly not asking for a 99 cent price drop, I've just become more cautious when buying high priced games. I don't want to spend 5 bucks on a game that I'll most likely complete within a week, its just not worth it for me. I'd be more than happy if it just dropped a dollar or two. I don't need updates every week either, just 1 fixing a couple bugs to show me that the devs are committed. With the way I plow through new games I buy, I've become more tight with purchases.

Jeez people, don't get your panties in a bunch when someone comes along and says something you don't like.

    $5 doesn't equal high priced games. $8 or $10 does ;)

There's no such thing as a set price for what is considered to be a high priced game, its a matter of perspective and personal opinion.

Why do they make you finish the entire game for the retro levels to open up?

That is frustrating and makes no sense.
