As I'm getting close to the end, the more ridiculously frustrating it's getting...

I'm at level 7-7, and it's driving me insane... Of course, I might have beaten it already if I just gave up on the beating the game without getting a game over screen, so I can reach level 9-1...

I'm so far into the game to just give up on this, right?

I love this game but some levels get VERY frustrasting. That's what makes the Mario series the best in the business. The gameplay is extremely balanced and rarely frustrating. :)

And what about Super Mario Bros 3? The entire world 8 was a frustration. Also if you were looking for the white mushroom houses, those levels were pain too.

Super Mario World had its frustration level at times. Wendy's Castle, anyone?

Not to mention Yoshi's Island and it's secret levels.

Giana is not frustrating at all. The hardest levels IMHO are 7-7, 7-9, 8-1, 8-2, 8-3 and 8-7. 9-1 wasn't hard but very monotonous. The rest wasn't hard at all for me.

7-7 is the one I'm at.. I'm glad to know the most frustrating levels are yet to come... *bangs head on desk*

Ok, there were some frustrating parts in the mario games. Maybe it's the precision of the gamepad that made it easier. That pinpoint control will never happen with a virtual pad but I still love it :)

This game have a very good virtual pad...
My only issue is that the jump and shoot is so close that I sometimes hit them both, which is instant death when riding a bubble... which is what I'm doing now!

    EDIT: YES! I beat 7-7! <3

Slide to Play review. They forgot to mention that it's a DS port.

    Game Impressions

The OpenFeint integration kinda sucks, I finally beat the game and get the "Perfect game" achievement and... Not only did it not let me see the ending, the ending ended before it could publish the results!

Also... The game is pretty stable except for the getting "caught in walls" glitch! I literally glitched through 8-8!

That said, it's still my favorite platform game I've played on the iPhone...

And how did you do in the remaining levels?

Since I beat the game without getting the gameover screen I can know access level 9-1 and 9-2, and level 9-2 have SOOOOO many large diamonds you get tons of lives, so I guess I could get the red diamonds I missed, but... I'm not sure I will...

I did find both the secret levels, but I didn't bother to beat them... the game is beaten, but I didn't get 100%...:p

    I come in peace ;-)

    Hello everyone,

my name is Nico and I am new here , as you might see in my postings ;-) However I have been a very big passive reader of your posts and have had lots of discussions about them.

I am responsible for marketing at Bad Monkee, yes sorry I am not the technical guy that is writing all that code. The good thing is that I have time to answer your questions / suggestions.

As written above, we have been looking into all your suggestions, problems etc. and have tried to get some things right with the first update. However there are still many points that we are currently working on and I will come to these specific points in my next posts for sure. If there is any suggestion about Giana Sisters iPhone that you still have in mind then now is the time to talk to me !!! Now bring it on: Give me your insults as well as positive feedback about Giana Sisters iPhone.

    Greetings

    Nico

I know you ;-) you have a very biiiiiiiig highscore, at least at the beginning ! Now some restless and possible sleepless guys have gone past you. But hey, look at your highscore , not too much sleep either ?

Changes for the Retro Levels are on the list and we know that for some people this might not be what they expected. However from our point of view a game needs some challenges and we thought that his might be one challenge you would like to achieve.
