Enjoyed playing through this although I still can't get the dragon to drop the cross (any help would be appreciated!) The last level is made infinitely easier with the use of the double jump on casual mode (have yet to beat the last level on classic). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember being able to change direction of your jump mid air on the NES like you can in this version (making the game much "easier"#). It would be great if they added MFi support, but still really enjoyed this one with it's touch controls(I'm sure the nostalgia didn't hurt my experience either.) This is a much better effort than Mega Man Mobile (still feeling bewildered over that!), which gives me hope for any of their future releases.
Yes, this is based on the arcade version, which wasn't as picky about jumps as the Micronics port for the NES.
Because they can and they know people will buy it no matter what just on nostalgia alone. They just sit back and laugh while they line their pockets
MFI support is a must and the horrible on screen controls need to disappear. Will buy once this is resolved
Definitely would much rather play this with mfi on iPad with full screen, but the controls on iPhone are serviceable (would be great to be able to reduce their size or make them invisible.) Man this is every bit as hard as I remember in the arcade #
yeah i know, but my point is why not take those better versions of 1942, G'n G, etc, and publish each one as a stand alone? (they've already done it those days with Final Fight and Street Fighter II, both was the same version included in Capcom Arcade app).
2 bux now. Capcom must have seen the glowing three star reviews and thought it was time to jack up the price. #
Excellent reply my friend. Was considering buying this trash and saw this post, reinstalled and saved money happily playing it for free on Capcom Arcade. Wonderful post and thank you for reminding me I already own it! You rock!
yeah it's true, restore doesn't work, but in my case i've reinstalled the app and had fully access to previously purchased games (can't play or buy the other ones though)
Lucky you when I reinstalled I lost final fight edit I just tried capcom arcade for ghouls n goblins and yeah the arcade version is way better because you have the option to pick extra armour extra lives. It is a lot more superior than this version.
Is this as hard as SNES? The game was a nightmare, die and start over from the beginning with nothing.
SNES one was Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts, the third part of the saga, this one is Ghosts 'n Goblins, the first one, and maybe a little bit harder than that... anyway, replay all levels a second time to complete the game is a trademark of this beautiful saga.
