I think Nudge explained it very well. I thought Ghost Trick was quite good. It has the same wackiness of the PW series with some ridiculous characters, lots of story twists, and a great sense of style. It is more puzzle-y than Phoenix, so it isn't exactly the same kind of gameplay. Given you can download the beginning for free, anyone remotely interested in adventure titles really should at least try this out and see if they find it appealing.
I was just at GameStop Monday, playing with a Vita demo and asked about this game on DS (for my 3DS). Arriving cheaper and for iOS is quite the pleasant surprise. I'll have to get this version
I'll definitely grab the trial for free. Wasn't really that big a fan of Phoenix Wright, but this looks potentially more fun. Glad we can try it out before buying the whole thing.
Ok, this does indeed seem *very* interesting. Sanuku, you were right over in the RR2 thread Has anyone laid their grubby hands on the iOS port? How does it compare to the DS version? (Always nice with superior iOS ports, such as FFT and Scribblenauts, as they give us plenty of argumentative power for silly handheld console wars )
Does this have any replay value? Not that it matters if the game is really good (like Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery for instance).
Zero replay value. Once you play it once, you're done. Overall a really story game. I've played this on the DS before. The story is really strong; the puzzles are fairly weak though: they're not too difficult and I could see the game using it's puzzle system better. But it's still a great game.
I just discovered it, and am glad you indulged in that little bout of self-appreciation It does indeed tell me precisely what I want to know, plus that I will be buying this come the end of the hallowed hour...
That's what they said about The Secret of Monkey Island. They be grinding dere teeth in shame an' regret now, arrrr!
sweet! So this game is finally coming out stateside? I have the game for DS, but the DS is one of the worst gaming platforms ever! I'm glad it's made it to the iOS. Now I just wish for Animal Crossing.. that's the only good game on the DS!! Phoenix Wright + Shantae + Layton are already out or coming out for iOS so no complaints there
One can always get it for $30 for the DS. Now it doesn't sound so bad, does it? I wonder how people imagine that developers make a living, selling games at very low prices - and $10 is still a low price, as far as videogames go... If people found this game on sale for a DS at $10 you'd pick it up as a bargain! EDIT: Unless you're saying it's surprisingly cheap, and then I'll just go to my corner and hide in shame for the spontaneous rant
Wow, this is amazing. Bought Apollo Justice - Ace Attorney today for my 3DS (6,95 ), and now soon I can load Ghost Trick. Moreover, Phoenix Wright 123 HD is in the pipeline, and Layton is too. Happy Time!
If only I had 3 more bucks in my iTunes. I have been waiting for this for so long... Some faith has been restored in Capcom.
