MoH beta was pretty bad, so I won't be purchasing the game. I don't think I'll buy CoD because I really dislike treyarch and they don't make good games. Ghost Recon all the way. Also, I would ask for game recommendations here because 90 percent of the people here are 12 year olds who only know Call of Duty and nothing else.
90%? Really? I hate MW2. Although, WAW's campaign was great . Any game with Battlefield in it has my money. I'm getting MoH just because you get access to the beta of it, and the campaign of course. I've got BC2 for multiplayer if I hate MoH. Ghost Recon looks pretty good, but my wallet is begging for mercy. Is there a release date for Ghost Recon? That'll help me.
Black Ops is pretty much a given since the CoD series is the rare phenomenon where 98% of the people I know will get it. That, and I'm hoping out of some strange, unexpected twist, it turns out to be a better game than MW2.
Even if it does turn out better than MW2, that's still not too impressive if you ask me. CoD has gotten boring again, much faster than it did last time. I need something new. I'm not buying a game just because my friends have, anymore than I'd wear the clothes they told me to wear. I'd rather play against strangers, it's not as bad as people make out. GRAW was average, GRAW 2 was boring, so Ghost Recon has a little work to do if it wants to surprise us all now.
The era of Call of Duty is officially over if you ask me. And Battlefield will make a comeback. There already on COD7, it cannot last much longer. Halo will probably have a Reach trilogy and then end. I wish Ghost Recon was in first person, then I would get it. But I'm done with Call of Duty, even though almost all of my friends will get it, and Halo: Reach. Hoping Crysis 2 and Killzone 3 succeed with they're multiplayer. We need more competition for Halo. I have a PS3 and literally none of my friends have one. I don't have a mic. And I'll play with strangers, and also play COD just to piss the 12 year old w/ the mic off sometimes but I don't really enjoy it. Won resurgance map pack, and didn't even play 2 of the new maps because I got noob tubes and sniped half of the game. But +1 to this post
Not sure about Killzone 3 considering 2 didn't take off in the way people were expecting. I think Crysis 2 will be big though, it's probably gonna be the next MP I really get into.
If they pull off Crysis 2's multiplayer, it'll be great! Killzone 3 is looking good single player wise, but multiplayer for 2 was horrible I am told. Maybe they'll get it right this time, then the war for the sci-fi shooter crown will begin! Crysis 2, Reach, Killzone 3, Vanquish, Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Resistance 3 (If Insomniac announces it as they're "PS3 Project").
Totally forgot about Bulletstorm as well. The FPS-genre could use some color and ridiculous melee attacks. Vanquish looks like it might do well, but there's not much innovation, just more of the same.
The multiplayer from Crysis Warhead, Crysis Wars wasn't that great. Some of the maps were HUGE but there weren't many people playing it and it could've been better. I hope they improve on it in Crysis 2 and it could be really awesome.
Ghost recon looks pretty nice. But if Treyarch can make COD less gay, I will definitely get that instead. Actually, I've had enough of these war/terrorist/shooting/first person games. Hot pursuit and GoW3 all the way.
First off, WAW had an awesome campaign. Second, GoW is just shoot big monster, grunt, shoot another big monster. Doesn't that sound fun
Operation Flashpoint: Red River is sounding quite promising. I liked Dragon Rising, but I hope they don't dumb this new game down too much and make it too easy. I guess I'm in the 10% that didn't find Dragon Rising difficult, in fact I found it to be pretty easy. ? What did I say about WAW? You obviously blow nutsacks at GoW if you think it's just shooting. Obviously. Or you only play the campaign/horde. Shotgun battling is way harder and different than 'Shoot before they shoot.' Wall bouncing, rolling around, while trying to shoot the other person is a ton of fun.
F*cking 50 Cent: Blood in the Sands was a better game than MW2, and that was an awful game. In all seriousness though Ghost Recon: FS has my vote. The beta for MoH was terrible (felt just like MW2 and BFBC2 mixed together, and not in a good way). But that's just my opinion, I just hated the pacing in it (felt too MW2ish). Black Ops could be ok, I liked WaW a lot and thoroughly enjoyed all of the game, Camp, Multi and Nazi Zombs. So I expect this won't be a terrible game but I will wait till it's ever on sale or anything. Ghost Recon actually looks pretty damn sick though.
That's understandable then. Campaign fighting is really unoriginal compared to them multiplayer. I find it really annoying when someone says the campaign was amazing, but the multiplayer sucks.
Plenty of games have better campaign than MP. Gears being one of them provided you're playing in co-op. I'd put both Gears' campaign modes waaay over WaW's campaign.
I will ask you a question. Answer truthfully: 1) have you ever played GoW2 online with other humans? 2) if you said yes to question 1, were you brutally raped by a 30 year old black male who only could beat down in your only game? 3) are you any good at Gears, or do you just shoot people with a lancer? 4) Do you enjoy ridiculously absurd and retarded story lines and voice acting?
