Haha, you guys are the best! Contacted Lujunbin through PM and I can't wait to see how this turns out. Some of the translation is downright scary, so hopefully I won't make it worse.
Brother, really thank you. Now we have no idea about spanish. But trust me, We will do that in the future
Not often anyone does that for free. I was going to actually help out with the translations for AntiSquad but the dev scrapped those plans since the game wasn't selling well. I don't think there's too much text for this game though so I doubt it should take you too long. Thanks for your service!
Feel free to contact me if you need help with spanish, I'm from Mexico so yeah, it's my native language and trust me, there's a HUGE market for this game in Mexico that don't speak english nor any other lenguage.
aww too bad, i just realise that u used UDK. i hope you guys make tons of money out of this game so you can upgrade the license. wish you guys the best! and metalcasket, you're da man. please lujunbin, make it works best with this guy.
There's actually a heap of text in the "Collection" section...which is primarily the reason why I'm so worried about butchering the meanings behind some of the scrolls and whatnot. That said, maybe I'll make a thread in the general section asking for some help from you guys once I get the text and start working on it...because even right now I'm wondering if "miasma" is the intended word, and if "urns" should stay urns or be changed to something like "vases", because, well...I'm not entirely sure if they're urns.
First, you really are an amazing person! Second, having worked as a translator, there is this saying : A translation, like a woman, can be either faithful or beautiful. I hope that's not true for women, but it is very true for translations, and my opinion is: if it's a scientific text, make it faithful. If it's recreative, make it beautiful in the language you are translating, sticking as close to the original as possible. In this case for example, sure they are vases, but "urns" takes us back to diablo and other games who used this. So please consider the "flavor" That said, thank you for doing something for us gamers for free!
Well said. Oh, and don't mention it...there are tons of people who I'm sure would love to help. syntheticvoid, for example, helped get the English in Gene Effect sorted (and there was TONS of it ) back in the day.
Miasma should be correct. The term's also used in Legend of Legaia, and refers to unpassable/inaccessible areas covered by a foggy mist called miasma.
