I am not sure if you really want a reply, or if it is a rhetorical question? I do not know what the trend is, but I can explain why we did it for our game. The core gameplay mechanic in "Get Fiquette" is based around you dropping objects off the building windows on top of Fiquette's head, in order to knock him out and win the level. The more height we have in the environment, the more challenging the game is. Originally, we made the game for the iphone, and if we put 3 storeys worth of windows in the landscape mode everything would be too small. if we put less storeys, game would be more predictable and less fun. So we made a decision to go with the portrait mode for this one. At the moment, we are working on another game, and it will definitely be landscape oriented. Also if we ever get on to making "Get Fiquette 2" we will do the landscape version for the ipad for sure. Anyhow, thanks for the comment, FK
Ok, as promised, I bought Get_Fiquette. This is a damn good game, first off. Beautiful graphics, backgrounds and animations. My concerns when I first saw the game when it was released was that it might be like a "gimmick" game. It's not. This is honestly so action-packed that it's bursting at the seams! My right forearm is sore from all the tapping This game is fully-featured and has so much to see and do that I don't have a problem recommending it to any and all here at TA. In a release week that held nothing for me, I'm happy to be chasing Fiquette! Richard
One thing that I cannot figure out is how to open GameCenter? Small nuance, but if really like to see where I stand
I'm really enjoying the game and would love to buy the doubler, but the screen flickering gives me eye-fatigue after only a few minutes of play. Can you create a mode that disables the flickering animation?
Flickering We will add an Option in the Option Menu to disable the flicking old film effect in our next build. Thanks for the feed back. Wow, and thanks for people buying the game.
Thanks. I was tempted to ask for a refund or delete it outright, but I'll keep it since an update is forthcoming...hopefully, sooner than later
Really? Sorry you found it that bad? None of our Tester mentioned it. It's an easy fix but it just takes Apple so long to approve things now days.
I've never had problems with flickering or strobe-like effects, but it could be due to my getting older
This effect doesn't bother me, I even like it. Adds to the entire feel of the game. I can see where it might bother some though. Overall I'm having a blast with this game. I want to unlock "insane" mode
The graphics and character designs are really cool! Was going to dismiss the game but now I'm interested.
Guys, I just woke up to read the comments, and I feel touched We will hang around this thread for sure, and will try to do everything we can to support the game. I am also glad people like it, for us it was a fun project that we chiseled at for two years. I have been working on it and playtesting it for two years, and probably have hundreds of hours clocked in playtesting, through all the incarnations of the game ever since our dodgy prototype, and the game is still fun to play. But then It is our baby so it is hard to guess what will other people think. "Get Fiquette" is definately not a gimmick and we did not make it to try and get some easy money, it is a project that was close to our hearts for many years, we just did not know what to do with it for a long time. From the beginning, we opted out from trying to make it into "in app" purchase scam game, as we hate those. We will deal with the flicker option, and there is another feature coming that was accidentally dropped in the previous update which should make game more fun. Thank you all again, FK Ah also, if it is more convenient, you can reach us over on twitter https://twitter.com/GetFiquette As well as facebook, and leave your comments and questions: https://www.facebook.com/DKUMG
How exactly does someone pronounce the title of this game? Each time I see it, I read it as "Get F**ked"
"Get Fi-kette"? I always think it sounds like 'get diskette'. Love the game. It's a reverse take on the runner style games. You have to stop the runner instead! Awesome! It's easy at first but it gradually ramps up the difficulty as you go. I don't mind the flicker effect, seems in keeping with the game's theme. The score tallying sound effect makes me giggle after every level. Love the humour in this game. A well deserved buy.
