I'm not too too interested in achievements but bug competitor of leaderboards ^.^

  2. Good to know! And cool to see a Roll Turtle fan, that Dev is a great guy.

I hope you're ready to tear it up on the GMOH leaderboards. I might have to give you guys a head start before I step into the competition ;):D

  3. Hey everyone. I haven't checked in for a while. Been a bit busy, but we are making good progress, just mostly on boring stuff that is not as exciting to show.

Here is a look at another skin I plugged in. It will be an exclusive thank you for those who purchase the Indie Supporter IAP. I hope I can get the classic zapper sound to go with it. :D

  4. Hey guys! Wanted to let you all know we are still alive and making good progress. Still fixing and polishing a bunch of small things, but have a little bit to show.

New animations for the hatchlings (the previous were just placeholder animation that I, the less artistic brother made):

And we finally have an explode animation for the Sword Aliens:

We have a lot done and are nearing completion. Leaderboards are now good to go as well has achievements. One achievement asks you to beat the game without using the heal tank (I had to give this a try to make sure it was possible... and after one intense battle it is possible, think you are up for it? :D No easy modifiers allowed on that one!)

More to show soon! We are on the home stretch. Thank you everyone, this community has been a huge help and encouragement. Without a doubt the game wouldn't be where it is without your input, its really cool to see how it evolved for the better once we got it in your hands. I know there is a handful of people that requested beta who still hadn't go in. I thought we would be quicker on this last build. But it will be useful to get a fresh set of eyes on the final build before we release, so we will get you in.

Thanks! Have a great weekend everyone.

Little guys look SoOOoOo much better, same with that beautiful goolicious explosion ! Excited! =D

  6. Thanks Esty! Glad you like them, with them being the second most encountered enemy I'm glad the new animations add to the character of the game. Also "goolicious" is the word we had in mind when making those explosions. ;)

No chance for different icons for powerups instead of those letters ? I feel like those need one of those beautification updates =P

  8. Yes. Still one the list to get to. I want to make them look nicer and more old school. I think I will stick with letters since they are easy to notice on the little buttons in the top right for players to know what power ups they have, but they for sure could have a cooler look to them.

We actually already have got to the barrels that the power ups come in. Here is a look at the toxic/exploding barrel, the power up and coins ones are being worked on.

Still taking beta testers? This game looks amazing.

  11. Thanks! Glad you like how it looks.

We may be doing one more version for a last minute check for bugs and stuff, if so we could use some help. If not it shouldn't be too long till the game is out and in your hands :D

As Josh announced today we will be teaming up with Crescent Moon Games and are really pumped about it. Still working hard on getting the game finished up. Thank you everyone for the support and for being excited about our game!

My brother and I both were fans of Crescent Moon Games before we started developing, and we are honored to be listed among their great titles.

Whoa! Great news! Any chance of being a fully premium title as the game will be teamed up with Crescent Moon? Josh and Rossman bros? Thanks and wish you all the biggest success:)

    Thanks guys!

Thanks! While the game will be free, it is completely set up for people who prefer premium style games. One single IAP will make the game premium, and remove all the ads. In this sense I think it fits in great with all the other Crescent Moon titles. Thanks for asking and thanks for the kind words!

Hey guys! Josh is having fun over in San Fransisco at GDC demoing a handful of super cool games that we are thrilled to be amongst. He had a chance to meet up with Eli and show them. Here is a look at Get Me Outta Here.
Eli had played an earlier version because he was an Indie Plus Judge. It was great to hear that he had thought the game was cool, and if I am hearing him correctly, he said that the controls took some warming up to but then they really made sense to him. Great to hear as that has been the consensus of most our testers. Either they click with the controls pretty quickly, or after a couple rounds they really start to enjoy them.
Also Josh came across a bug in the tutorial that somehow got past me and our testers, oops! I already got it fixed though after seeing it in the video, phew. :p

Hey TouchArcade community! Sorry we haven't posted in a while. However today is fitting because it just so happens to be National Alien Abduction Day! Yep that really exists.

Wanted to let you all know we are really close to submitting to Apple, most likely next week! Taking this week and weekend to go through the game and make sure everything seems in order! Thank you for all your feedback, encouragement, and support for helping us get to this spot! We are also really glad to have Crescent Moon Games with us, as it has brought more attention to the game and Josh has provided some great feedback that has helped in getting the game finished.
One of those is a finalized second option for the controls. While the majority of our testers loved the swipe controls, there were also a handful of people who are used to buttons and don't quite click with the swiping to jump. We now have a button option with a shooting and a jumping button and you can swipe over them to roll, we really like how it feels. Always great to have options.

Also! Some of you may remember our live action trailer featuring my son for our last game Jump Jack:

We thought it would be fun to keep with the tradition with an 80's style commercial, and while not giving too much a way here is a behind the scenes sneak peak at the fun that was going on at the Rossman house the other night. Yes the smoke alarms were set off.
