Does anyone know if there's a way to set up a "fake/temporary" number for a computer or simply email address, so that when someone texts that "number" from their phone, it goes directly to the computer/email address? In other words, is there any way to receive a text message sent from another cellphone but protect the number of my cellphone?
Someone told me to do this: - Send text message to email from phone (though not sure how to do that) - Reply the email Though I have no idea how that's applicable. I guess it reveals some email account connected with the phone? But that has nothing to do with a temporary phone number.
