Yea, the game's great, but I gotta agree with Pocketgamer's review on this(6/10), the controls are annoying as it doesn't go back and you often get eaten. And the difficulty ramps up a little too high. But I must say, the graphics, wow they're just amazing.
Can't see why you guys are after Promo Codes. It's only 99c? Sure if you were reviewing games then yeh i guess you have an excuse but seriously you guys aren't willing to spend 99c?
Controls got vastly improved with the new update, try it again, youll be surprised with the new zooming out while aiming
Another great review from TouchGen, http://www.touchgen.net/gesundheit-review They gave the game a 4.5, Un-missable, something they dont usually do, and righfully deserves it (and more after the new improved aiming method) "Among all the games trying to push hugely detailed worlds, and console-like experiences, itÂ’s always nice to find a game that fits perfectly within its iOS surroundings. Delivering a tight, focused and tailor-made experience that I challenge any gamer not to fall in love with. It joins like-minded titles like Bumpy Road, as true AppStore gems."
That can help, but I think your game needs promotion, it came out of nowhere with barely any buildup.
Thanks Arta however I think you'd be surprised at the amount of exposure it has had Practically every credible site you can think of covered it and the reviews are stellar (excluding one site that announced it as one of the weeks best then gave it to an intern to review for a 6 ). We've IM'd announcements to over 1million users of our other apps, and being on the front page of iTunes is also a huge promotion. It probably speaks volumes about the speed at which the Top100 chart moves - especially as all the other charts feed into it. You can be a Top 10 Adventure or Puzzle Game for example and still be sub T100 Paid. It's all good we're loving the feedback from you guys and gamers on iTunes, have a little something planned with the good folk at Open Feint and will offer a lite version to help Ges stay visible, and HOPEFULLY then we can dedicate some time to extra levels etc if it makes sense to.
Hey all!! First let me say VERY NICE game, Revolutionary Concepts!! The art is absolutely beautiful and the game is fun and challenging. I have really enjoyed playing it thus far and is WELL WORTH the $0.99! So, massive props for a unique and really cool game. My 9-year old loves the sounds and graphic effects when piggy sneezes or gets gobbled up. Although, she says it's sad when the piggy gets eaten.. especially by the mosquitoes! LOL I suspect this game is even better on the iPad. My biggest frustration with playing it on the iPod is that the controls are finicky and not very accurate sometimes. I have learned to adapt though and can do quite well now. Unfortunately, it requires me to shoot alot of snot and thus I am always "poor" in this category. Not a big deal though... the game is super fun anyways. The game is too hard for my 9-yr old. I know others have mentioned different difficulty settings. I think this would be a great idea like making the monsters move much slower, etc.. for a child player. Just my 2 cents! My only other minor complaint is the scoring system and how it calls you "Poor" all the time. So negative. It is very hard on an iPod/iPhone to do everything quickly and accurately. My 9-yr old asked me, "Why does it say I did a bad job, Daddy? I finished the level, right?" So, yeah... I don't care what the game says... but could be more sensitive and positive than calling people's efforts "Poor" all the time... especially with young players in mind. Now, nobody go blasting me.. it's just imho... and a minor complaint. In summary... GREAT GAME!! Highly, highly recommend it!!
lol... Totally agree with this... I spend so much time not saying "oh you suck" to my kids when they're doing various things... its hard to give them a game that will put them down when they don't do good... All about the positive re-enforcement now that I'm a parental figure... =oP
If I remember correctly, the first world has only one type of monster and no special abilities for Piggy. You would definitely want to include in the Lite version a few levels from each map so that people would know there are other monsters and special abilities to get them interested and hooked! Spoiler Watching that one monster eat the mosquitoes is so satisfying!!
I also totally agree with that Point. The second time I beat the game in 45 minutes with all stars and still got a lot of "poor". Beating the game is easy. It's only hard to get something better than a "you suck" rating.
Game Impressions Downloaded this gorgeous game on my Ipad last week and finished it over the weekend! Only minor bugs where groups of monsters would sometimes group together and not react and one occasion, the mozzies would fly in-between walls. The monster bunny with crazy teeth is arghhhhh... Very, very addictive and challenging, currently on to my 3rd tryout Yes, the gorgeous concept, ideas, animation and overall game hands down have been a worthy game thus year! My 7 yr old finds it incredibly challenging on his iPhone but yes, the moral rating of 'poor' after successive tries could be say- changed to a different word to something more 'encouraging' perhaps..IMO Hope theres going to be more future upgrades, more levels perhaps??? Cheers
I noticed today that some of the fruit was rearranged on some levels since the update. Maybe those were considered too hard by some.
Frost - is yours a Spanish language version? I have read in previous posts that this is a known issue in the Spanish language version. Someone actually posted a screenshot of it. RC is aware. /edit.. just found the previous post on Page 8 of this thread, and it was YOU, TheFrost, that posted the original issue! LOL So, I guess I don't understand why you are posting this issue again... RC responded to you already the first time you posted this. ;^)
