There's a good number of 'em, but off the top of my head - here's some favorites: Isotope: A Space Shooter geoFighter - Light Wars Particle Wars Circuit Strike One
I bumped an old thread about this and bought a few of them a couple weeks ago and my conclusion was this: 1. Critical Wave -- Great controls, graphics, and very similar to Geometry wars. It was 99 cents, not sure if that's still the case. Awesome game. 2. Isotope -- Great graphics and particle effects, tons of depth and RPG elements set it apart from the traditional Geometry Wars formula. Controls are ok, but could be better. At $1.99 it's definitely worth getting if you don't mind quite a bit of grinding. 3. Circuit_Strike.One -- Great-looking game with multiple controls schemes, great music, very immersive, but also prone to shorter game sessions as it's quite hard. It plays as a sort of combination of Geometry Wars and Asteroids. Don't get the game if you are prone to seizures. Otherwise it's worth checking out, especially for 99 cents. 4. geoFighter: Light Wars -- Very much a clone of Geometry Wars, I got it a long time ago for free, but I personally did not get into it. It's a little expensive compared to these others at $3. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I should also mention Meteor Blitz which is my long-running favorite dual-stick shooter, simply because, well, it's the best there is. It's not a heap like Geometry Wars, more similar to Super Stardust, but it's a phenomenal game that anyone who enjoys these types should have.
I'm pretty addicted to dual stick space shooters.. Here are my faves which are all currently on my iPhone: Meteor Blitz Abstract War 2.0 Critical Wave Crash Course Geofighter : Light Wars Isotope Circuit Strike One Glow Shooter Particle Wars Nano Fighter I would also recommend ' Tilt to Live' which whilst not a dual stick shooter, is worthy of a mention because fans of Dual Sticks will love this.
geoFighter: Light Wars and Belowscape are definitley my 2 favortive. belowscape came early on the appstore and is still better than a lot of new clones
I'd actually say to wait for the official release, but even I'm starting to get impatient now. It's bad enough that we had to wait 2 weeks for Warpgate.
Among the dual-control shmups that I consider entertaining (e.g. little or no tedious leveling, grinding, upgrading, or rpg elements) survival mode in Meteor Blitz comes the closest to Geometry Wars. Critical Wave has similar mechanics and is aesthetically closer to GW, but its generic and obligatory boss fights at the end of every level bring it farther afield. A PR guy at Bizarre Creations implied in their Geometry Wars Touch (iPad) thread that the GW franchise will be appearing in some form on iPhone/iTouch.
