Rob, I see that you are online. Here's an idea I have: I was thinking about an update with a beach-themed level. (Like palm trees, sand) Maybe a new "Jetski" gamemode and spikes that look like water? The jetski would only be able to survive on the water and the ground. If it hits anything else, it dies. So, could you pweez try this out? Thanks for reading!
Thanks for noticing our idea Rob! I actually did come up with an idea on how the speed would effect how the player interacts with the mechanic - but I'm not sure how well it'd work in practice. The basic theory is a slower speed (slow or normal) will spend more time in the "gravity field", causing the player to make a smaller, yet higher, swing - while faster speeds (x2 and x3), spend less time affected by the gravity, and are projected outward in a larger parabola due to the speed. Does this sound like a concept that would work? Or should the push/pulling be left independent of the speed?
If you send an email to [email protected] from the email address you used to register the account I can change it for you Got some space related stuff in 2.0, more coming later! I think beach theme might be too specific. I think a big part of the geometry dash style is that users can combine blocks to create something unique. Not sure if beach fits in to that, but who knows 1. Not sure really, just wanted to create something fun Creating something where players could make their own levels and share them was a big part. Also making a game that I could build upon and evolve, so its going well 2. Haha, a lot 3. Will check it out A. Hmm, tricky. Adding the slopes was a big of a pain since I had to add them without messing with the basic collision code. The game doesn't have a physics engine, I code everything by hand. So simulating physics when you leave platforms etc. took some work. B. No idea, new features are always fun to add! C. Interface stuff and buttons usually aren't very fun, since they just take time. Some things can be tedious to program, but you just have to blast through it ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Also, after 2.0 comes out, you should make a new and better trailer for the game. The current trailer is, well, kinda outdated. Also, do you know if 2.0 will be ready in the next couple weeks?
Just realised it wasn't clear, I meant the separate paste button, when you copy and then paste the object don't appear swapped with the grid. Thanks for pointing it out
He's always adding new stuff too. The game is worth at least $4.99 We have to support Robtop you know
RobTop, can you please reconsider the vertical mirror portal idea? If there's not enough room, you can simply zoom out the screen. It would really be awesome to see this incorporated.
I know you said rotating the screen was boring Robtop, but you added the mirror portal ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Please reconsider it!
