Well, most super-tight sections are just plain annoying right now. 95% of them are composed of ships in very tight paths that go up and down, like in Ice Carbon Diablo X. With a big portal, though, it would add at least a little bit more of fun to this. The big cube, for instance, would jump higher and move slower, which means that it would occupy more room, and therefore levels would be tighter, and more fun at the same time. It would also add more diversity to levels.
Yeah, I think I don't want the big portal anymore... Moving slow in the game is extremely boring too :/ Gotta go fast!
No. I was neutral. But I hate -> tight sections -> slow speed So I will hate the big portal And what about dual mode, there won't be enough space for 2 gargantuan cubes
Technically, the mini portal can also be used to make annoying tight sections. In Ice Carbon Diablo X, there are some insane ship sections that involve a shrunken ship. The big portal won't really make the sections "tight", it'll just force the player to focus on timing and precision rather than just luck and memorization.
I wasn't even the one who brought it up. I just replied to a post about how much, from 1-10, I would like this game mode incorporated, and then other people started responding to me, saying that the big portal wouldn't work, so I expressed my opinions.
Shhh we are done with the big portal Circus, space, underwater, forest, and volcano are themes I've seen in levels before that need more design features
You took all the decent ideas. RobTop already incorporated the forest theme with the thorns in bushes that appeared in " Theory of Everything", but everything else desperately needs attention from RobTop. Maybe the space theme will bring in the gravity modifiers? :0
I actually want a castle theme like the one we saw in the 6th sneak peek image. I know we can use it in our levels but I want to see RobTop do something with it.
Black holes, galaxies, stars (actual stars ), asteroids, Dust clouds (nebulas), satellites etc.. Are good ideas.. I want to create an outer space level myself in 2.0, but I will need to get creative
I don't have enough knowledge of the level editor to even create a 1.5 type level... The only thing I can do is place spikes and blocks, with the occasional decorations. The problem is that in 2.0, the editor will get even more complex than it was before, so I guess I better learn my way through it.
Now a black hole sounds like a good hazard of some sort. It could be built like the sawblades and monsters, and there could be some that G-Forces infamous Big Portal is needed to jump over.
See, all of us finally found a good use for the big portal. By the way, question time: If RobTop was reading our entire conversation spanning the last few pages ( talking about the big portal), what do you think his reaction would be?
