How long did it take you to write that? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) I vote 0 on everything except the verticle portal. I think rotating the screen would be a great effect, far from boring.
I took me roughly 3-4 minutes to write that. I'm used to writing a lot, I like to be detailed. Also, I never said that the rotating screen effect was boring, just that it might be unnecessary because we already have gravity portals that accomplish the same effect. Now that I think about it, though, It could make for a variety of interesting levels. I'll bump it up to at least an 8/10, then. Also, 0 on everything??
Ok G-Force you have an unhealthy obsession with Big Portals. It's a good concept but how exactly would it work? I mean the point of the mini portal is to make tight sections easier, so why would a big portal be necessary?
Let's pray that he does.. Translated for every1: Hello Sir Robert. ^^ I have a question, in any update of Geometry Dash thought that users have the ability to change the properties of objects of decoration as having Eletrodinamix circles. that is, I realized that every time I go in and out of level, these objects change to where and how fast spin. You could see an option where we can set this up? Thanks ^^ ... Don't ask me what he's talking about
The mirror portal itself is 100 times more boring than a hypothetical vertical mirror portal, and it's in the game. Just because it's going to be update 2.0 soon doesn't mean you need all these crazy effect portals that make the game "interesting". Sometimes, he needs to kick back and go with something that's simple, but cool. And I know how you feel about the big portal/ wave compatible blocks, but you said you were neutral to both of them, so I was expecting at least a 2/10. Also, even though the Nuclear difficulty ideas has its problems, but it's not a completely bad idea...
Exactly. It's unnecessary to the game, if it were added it would slowly be forgotten. The only use of a big portal couldn't be Big Clutterfunk, can it
The big portal would be cool for making levels where precision and timing is key. Like a big UFO, for instance, you could make levels that require extreme precision to get past by, since it jumps twice its height. Also, I don't have an " unhealthy obsession with big portals", I didn't even bring it up, I was responding to a post. I think he's talking about an option in the editor that let's you transform an object into any customizable shape. It's a good idea, but not really necessary for the game. :/
Big Clutterfunk? That gives me an idea to make Stereo Madness except with the cube being replaced by the new mechanic, I bet that'd work.
Someone's getting defensive. Anyway there are plenty of levels where timing is key, we don't bed something to make that even worse.
wtf, the word wrap has nothing to do with this, he probably meant warp and had a typo or he didn't know the right word and now everyone is using the word wrap which sounds absolutely stupid.
I'm content with demon as the highest difficulty.. And I think that Dragon sounds better than Nuclear :-/ Robtop might add another difficulty in the future when levels get even more complicated and harder, but right now there is really no need. Only a handful of levels would be Dragon/Nuclear difficulty.
Yeah, but a big portal would make it easier to make such levels, and it would make it more fun at the same time rather than just plain annoying. That's all I'm trying to say.
I know, the first time I came across a thread that said " Wrap portal", I was certain that they made a typo when writing. Apparently, though, a wrap portal " wraps around" the entire game to transport you across the Y-Axis, according to the other forum. Doesn't make any sense, but I guess people believe what they want to believe...
What I'm not understanding is how? All it would really do is make sections seam super tight. Also I get what you are saying about how cool it'd be but maybe it could be something for an update where it could be useful.
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wraparound_(video_games) The phenomenom is called wrap around :/ A warp portal would warp you across time, nothing to do with GD.
Hes talking about the direction that object spins (Example: blades) like chosing spin to the right or to the left
You guys better do some research before bashing everyone that calls this a 'wrap' portal. A warp portal literally would warp you across time and space, but this is just the screen wrapping around. Smh
