I asked the same question before (and he answered it), he said that nowadays he has contact with lots of artists. I agree with you though, we need some Envy songs in the game I guess we have a new schedule for Robtop Instead of 7:00PM, he goes online at 5:00AM (doubt I could wake up so early doe) Best idea in a long time. This would actually give all of the new creators a chance
RobTop will you ever made a Level in future Updates like 2.7 or so with This Song? Also This Song will ever make it's own way in 2.1,2.2 or so?
Honestly, I don't really think that at song already used in an online level will be used again in a main level. Creators would loose the song, the level wouldn't be enjoyable without song, it will be known and not secret, etc... The point of a main level song is to keep it secret So I don't think its very useful to post songs in here
I live in France, 1 hour time difference with Sweden, and rarely get to see Robtop daytime, only around 1-3 am. Today is an exception.
It actually makes more sense for RobTop to go online at 5:00 A.M, since it's around 9:00 A.M in Sweden. I hope he won't drop the entire " going online at 7:00 P.M" thing, otherwise I won't be able to ask anymore questions.
Ah, I meant more along the lines of how does he pick a specific song for a level? I knew he was in contact with the artists, and that's how he gets the songs, but I was referring to him choosing which song to use. The songs all vary somewhat in their styles (despite being mostly by the same artists), so it seems like it's a bit of a process to go through several different songs, and then narrow it down to one to create the new level around.
RobTop said before that he looks for a song that matches the style of the new level he has in mind, and then contacts the artists he has decent connections with to ask if he can use it. By the way, I have another question time: When do you think the update will be out? ( Only useful answers, please, nothing like " soon in RobTop time".)
