Hey RobTop. Do you have any sort of messaging type application where I can easily communicate to you? If you do, could you send me a private message? If not, or don't want that information out in public, it's all fine with me. Just wondering.
Yup, all the time. But I just work through it and improve the level and rework areas until I feel it's finished. Building and designing the new levels take a pretty long time since I work in new art, systems etc Will try to add something in 2.1 The level search browser doesn't really have space for it. Also it would be tricky to create, so probably not gonna happen. But in the future some kind of customization to make your level stand out while browsing could be cool. No not really, but I always have the game windowed in a smaller size. Playing full screen up-close can be a bit much I have a few different way to find and rate demons, but alot is based on player ratings and suggestions. I can search for different values in the database to get a good idea The formula for the ship is just a linear equation, something like yVelocity += 1. When not holding down a gravity is applied, so nothing fancy Pretty much the support email, but it's so full these days that its difficult to have the time
RobTop! Everyone is asleep! Haha I stayed on. How are you? I was wondering, how does it work that the custom songs from Newgrounds cause the beat of the objects to pulse correctly? Any song could be uploaded...
Hey rob, could you please post a changelog of 2.0 soon? Also, the collab system, how many people at max?
I use a sound engine called FMOD. Using that engine you can read the loudness of a song and get a value from it. I fetch that value and do some magic to make items pulse to the music. Not perfect, but I think it works pretty well (For all the custom songs I manually create the beats) Will try to post a changelog soon, dont even write stuff down so could take a while to list everything I haven't started working on a collab system yet so can give any exact values. Not sure what limit to put on a collab. I know some players enjoy big collabs, so I will try to make sure there is support for enough.
