Holy crap... What if there was a cube maker? What like 128 pixels to put a range of colors on... And make your own ship, ball, ufo, wave It would work like this: the player gets a grid of pixels, how ever many there is to make up the icon. U can zoom in and out, so picking pixels is easier. Choose a pixel, pick a color, similar to color picker in the level editor. People would have custom icons!!!!!!!!!
You mean a custom icon maker, except that you have to create it from scratch? I think that's too complicated to work in the game, especially with the grid of pixels that will make the process take a very long time. I agree though, we need some sort of Custom icon maker in the game. Instead of creating it from scratch, though, RobTop can give us an icon that's completely blank, and we fill in the details using another option that let's us put on stripes, polka dots, etc.
To be honest, I think clothing is more like a gimmick than something the game actually needs. Not to mention that it will probably be hard to implement and will most likely interfere with gameplay. I mean, what will happen if your character is wearing a hat while under anti-gravity? However, things like sunglasses and capes could be cool if used wisely.
The sixth form isn't that different from all the other forms, it's just that it has legs rather than a flat bottom. I still think there are limited options for clothes decorations for even this form. A jacket would be hard to develop, a cape wouldn't really make any sense for this form, and everything else would either be too small to notice or simply unnecessary. The main problem with clothes on the game modes is that you would have to develop different clothes for each one- A cape for the ship, sunglasses for the cube, etc. Not to mention that there are some game modes where clothes would simply make no sense, like the ball or UFO. It's an idea that's good as a concept, but wouldn't really work out in practice.
I know you just want to see the characters nude u sly dog u Just kidding haha but yes clothes are unnessecary. Unnessecary doesn't mean lame though!
I never said the clothes were lame, just that they were more like a gimmick than something that the game actually needs. In fact, most of the portals in Geometry dash are unnecessary. Look at the miniaturization portal: Is it necessary? No. Is it cool? Yes. It's the same thing with the mirror portal. It's more of a gimmick, but is it necessary? No. Is it cool? Yes ( but I still hate it anyway ). Same thing with the clothes. Are they cool? Potentially, if used in the right way. Are they necessary? Of course not!
Well, the game needs things that can be built on and used in future levels, like the gravity portal. After it was introduced in Dry Out, we slowly saw its inception in future levels, starting with upside down flying in Jumper, eventually leading to all these annoying upside-down flying sections in Clubstep and other levels. The mini portal is another example. "Mini-Cube" mode may not have been used much, but the min-ship, UFO, ball, and wave have led to some seriously hard demon levels.
Let me rephrase that: These portals aren't exactly necessary when you look down into the game's core, which is basically a square jumping over other obstacles, but they can be built on to make cool things ( upside down ship, mini-UFO, etc.). It's what makes this game so cool.
I understand haha the effects and different modes of playing are the main factors of the game. In essence they are necessary because without them, this game wouldn't be as popular and wouldn't be as fun!
