Just put out another update to holy Flipperoni and it adds a bunch of background changes and more content towards the end
Ya know what would be really awesome for this game? An implementation of that replay system that some games use, I forgot the name, but NimbleBit's Nimble Quest uses it Edit: it's called everyplay
Have you played the rest of the level since the update? Or did it throw you off at that beginning jump, if so, do you like it?
Cool, will take a look at it. Could be nice to have players able to share gameplay videos Haha yea I completed it on practice mode but not on normal. I think the intro flips are too crazy though, almost never get past the first jump ^^
A bunch of my levels are impossible now due to some jumps that were possible before the update but not after it, the beginning of A walk in the park. And a part in shattered cant be beat. Did you change something?
Ugh. I *really* should have checked out a gameplay video before buying this. I don't mind people making shameless ripoff clones of Bitless, but they need to do it right. The reactionary control (for lack of better words) in this game just feels... Off. It is like there is a hair too much gravity or something. I despised 'The Impossible Game' and as purty and up-in-your-face soundtrack as this game is, I regret buying it. Bitless did it better.
Hmm, I don't see anything on that obstacle that should have changed. The only jump related change was a bugfix on jump rings, but they should still work the same way. I never managed to complete that obstacle before either though, so your timing must have been really precise Sorry to hear that! There is a lite version out so that people can try before they buy it though. Never heard about Bitless until now, so I can understand that I failed cloning it. Looks cool though
You have never heard about Bitless until now, just happened to make the exact same game featuring a moving cube that flips/rolls as it jumps over obstacles, using the same control methods, etc. okay.
I have been very honest in the past when I said that Geometry Dash was inspired by rhythm-platformers like The Impossible Game and Bit.Trip Runner. Those games are far more similar to Geometry Dash than Bitless, which looks more like a Super Meat Boy style game. There's no real reason to lie about it
You couldn't possibly have cloned Bitless more unless you directly copied the retro graphics. I don't have a problem with that, I just wish the control feedback didn't make me feel like I was huffing 87 octane with a dirty rag. I like the idea of a techno paced endless platformer, I love the music... It just feels like Mario-cube needs to lose a few pounds.
I think going into a game with the expectation that it will function like another game will often result in "This feels wrong". Geometry Dash is its own game, and the Lite version is out because the game is not for everyone. Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it!
@kaibosh I think at least one other person out of the hundred of thousands that play this game would have noticed if it was as close a clone to Bitless as you say it is and mentioned it. On another note you may just be bad at the game because I feel the games calibration is right on par. and that was the word you were looking for, calibration. It's too bad you didn't notice the lite version of the game before spending that $1.99 for the full version.
Finally bought the app, fact is... can i upload a level that has a starting pos? I just want to make it start at half height instead of at base height
Right now you cant upload a level with a start pos, so there is no way to change the start height. I could add a y-pos trigger to allow this in an update though
