Just a few inquiries, sorry for long post m80s ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Um, recently there were 2 featured levels that got my attention for the song used; there was Noobas' demon level "Theory of Skrillex" which used Equinox by Skrillex. The other one was "Energy Drink" by SM Blacktime, which used the song of the same name by Virtual Riot. Now, both songs are awesome and I love them, but I wondered about the implications of having them uploaded to Newgrounds. Both are made by popular electronic music producers and most probably have copyright and that stuff. But there are a few differences I noticed: - The version of Equinox used in ToS wasn't an exact version of the original song, but it has a transition somewhere in the music and the Newgrounds upload is named something like "Skrillex Mix #1". In the description of the upload, the user says the song was uploaded "for Geometry Dash creators". In which case, if it truly is some kind of mix made by whoever uploaded it, could it be considered original content? Because else, since Newgrounds allows downloading the track for free, it might be considered as distributing purchasable content for free (as far as I know, Equinox was not released as a free track). It's not like it hasn't done before a million times before, but it's piracy and I think neither RobTop or the fellows at Newgrounds like the idea of being directly involved in that stuff. - The other track, Energy Drink, was uploaded to Newgrounds not as any kind of mix, but the original track itself. The difference is that Energy Drink was released as a free song by Virtual Riot, so there is a bit less trouble in the piracy issue (after all, if its free, redistributing it like that, as long as not for any kind of commercial use and while the author is credited, doesn't affect any kind of sales and even boosts both the song and the artist's popularity). But I think there are still issues with copyright, because I'm pretty sure the artist uses different licensing terms than Newgrounds. I'm asking all this because I found another song by Virtual Riot uploaded in Newgrounds (actually a track from Lock N Bounce, but remixed by Virtual Riot) that I really like. The track was released with a free download (similar case to Energy Drink) and I'm currently using it to create a level. But I saw this issue been brought up a few pages earlier and I wanted to corroborate how legal is all this xD PD: If anyone can link me to a pic of the Terms of Use that appear when you first download a Newgrounds song for online levels, please do. I need to check that too.
For 2.0 can we choose where to put the, um, "Level Complete wall"? Or whatever it's called? So if you want the player to hit the wall right at a certain point at a song, you can do it by placing the object to mark where it should finish
What is mysterious is that there is actually a "Level end" button in GDM sprite sheet, written like "Start Pos" button

RobTop, I have a suggestion for 2.0. Maybe you could be able to change colors on objects in a verified level without making it unverified? Because it doesn't really change the gameplay. In my level Eternity, I noticed that 2 blocks in the beginning has player colors, which I wanna change. But it would take way too long time to verify again
Can someone tell me how to improve this ?? ID=3472006 it's unique but some people tell me it's lacking in deco... and viprin, what if a decoration hides some blocks that changes the level someway as demons use effects to distract it's like if i upload a level it's rated demon then i put bg changes everywhere (level seizure version) and submit it without verifying.. i know people who are this evil
Nevermind, I've FINALLY verified and uploaded my first demon level, Microprocessing. ID is 3488593. I really hope it becomes demon, otherwise my efforts trying to verify it is all wasted. No video this time. Finally I can enjoy life.

I agree with Viprin, in my version of Eternity, i finally verify it, then i notice an error in decoration i am like "NOOOOOOOO!!!" And i have verify all over again.
Technically you could abuse it for example by changing the bg and the obj color to black so that the player can't see anything but you wouldn't have to re-verify.
