Huh that's strange lol. Try backing up your data, deleting the game, and downloading it again.

There was a yt vid (can't be bothered to find it rn ) where someone was playing deadlocked on win 95, and it ran very smoothly. Assuming it was a VM.

 

If you have a death effect on, it cancels the effect out too.

 

You know, to fix half of the problem RobTop should simply add a option to make music artist decide if they want their songs to be usable or not. The other half is honestly the fault of the community [stealing music, harassment, etc.].
