Temporary Silence...

You guys, this is too much for me... I'm going to take a Temporary leave from TA, all this drama is just terrible, and I hate to see a couple of people who used to be able to talk ready to kill each other (slight exaggeration, but you get the point.). So, just like the 5 months of silence I went through earlier this year, I am going on a short silence and inactivity. If you have anything to say to me I'll check all TA PM's tomorrow night, which I will announce when I check. I'm sorry I wasn't of enough help for you guys, and please forgive my shortcomings.

I remember those days, you guys probably don't remember me, I used to be here all day everyday, then 2.0 came, then my beef with Abstract, now I'm back here. I agree though that 2.0 has been a time of lots of drama and separation. I miss the old days...

 

Rememberance

I miss when everyone here was one big happy family, and everyday we would be having one another to bring eachother up when one was down, we were always happy when another person had come to say hi and talk or a new member came and we happily greeted them, I hope when 2.1 comes out that it'll be a bonding moment for all of us...

Whoa guys. You all need to chill out. Especially Gerald.

First of all, VorteX, this community is the only one I can bear to be in, and that's saying something. If anything, I'm probably the person who has been affected most by the community (general community, not TA). There's nothing wrong with this forum and there wasn't anything wrong when you posted. If anything, you just created more drama. Sure, we all go off on our least favorite people in the community every one in a while, and sometimes people like to argue, but that's all normal and usually with good intentions. Before 2.0 we had new people joining every 2 minutes and asking Rob when the update was out. I'd say about 1/8th of those people stayed. The people that actually care are members of this community, so there's no reason for it to be called a warzone.

Now, Gerald. I'm going to start by warning you that this is why you got banned and why you don't have a good reputation. Your need to try and piss people off annoys people that you aren't even attacking. Just because you're angry because you posted something you shouldn't have and got called out for it doesn't mean that you can attack whoever tells you off. If you did that to me, I can assure you I'd have everyone here against you. I've done it to people before, and I can do it again. And if I remember correctly, I was one of the people who asked Echo not to ban you and to give you another chance. I think your time here may quickly be coming to an end if you continue the way you've been behaving.

I may come off as arrogant and sound like a jerk, but I have more experience with drama than anyone here, and I've been on this forum longer than 95% of the people here (~2.5-3 years). People like Splash are really the ones you should listen to. Again, I may sound arrogant, but I consider myself a sort of moderator here (different than what Echo does.) If you know me, I don't like to be nice to people. I really don't post unless something needs fixed.

This community is not broken. It's a separate branch from the majority of the GD community. (If we get someone who acts like a standard community member, I, as well as a couple others, either get them to leave or straighten them up. That's part of the reason this community stays nice.) Also, there is little to no "drama" here. Stop complaining unless you have a specific reason to. And by telling everyone you're leaving, VorteX, it just seems like another TriAxis situation.

I guess this is what he doesn't get, and it's pretty obvious that swearing is against the rules since nobody does it, but it seems like he wants to get banned again, then come back and repeat the same process.
