Read please! You know, I've been thinking and I say this: The drama needs to stop. This used to be a nice fun game everyone can play but since the wait for 2.0 we've been getting exponentially worse, and I don't like it. All this nonsense and hate, over petty little things. I think I can speak for most of us here when I say we need to set the past behind, and just join arms as one community, not a bunch of angry, hateful individuals. I honestly used to enjoy coming here, friendly posts were the norm and everyone got along. But lately, this place has become an inhospitable warzone with everyone at each other's throats. Please for the sake of all that is holy, and all that was once right with this community, bind together and everyone give this thread, this community, and your fellow dashers one more chance. After all, we're just a bunch of people who got together over this game, and I think I shouldn't let it tear us apart. Please, VorteXium

you seem to have put a lot of emotion and thought into this post and so for that reason i'm going to honestly respond to it with my own beliefs and opinions without holding as much back for the sake of being tame and cordial as i usually do 1) about the subject of your whole post: generally speaking, i agree. drama is bad and the community would be better if everyone got along and was happy. that'd be great, and while absolute perfection and everyone loving everyone is probably never going to happen, a more respectful, friendly environment is achievable and is something i believe we should strive to achieve. 2) now, talking more specifically about the things you said: - The drama needs to stop. I agree that the community has been getting worse in the past year or so, but conversely, i'd like to note that this community has never really been one of the best. it's just how it is. many people, including i to an extent, agree that it was better in 1.9, but it's never been "great". if anything, the recent problems have been more because of increased versions of old negative qualities rather than brand new things that weren't out there before. - I think I can speak for most of us here when I say we need to set the past behind, and just join arms as one community, not a bunch of angry, hateful individuals. while joining arms as one community would be nice, i really don't think "a bunch of angry, hateful individuals" describes us well. many, if not most of the people here are really nice, friendly people. it's the very small number of very hateful people that cause everyone to have problems. also, what do you mean by "set the past behind"? very little of this drama with the exception of a few specific instances is because of events that happened in the past. - I honestly used to enjoy coming here, friendly posts were the norm and everyone got along. After all, we're just a bunch of people who got together over this game, and I think I shouldn't let it tear us apart. yeah, this is a pretty good message and ideal for the forum, but again i really think there's hardly any more drama going on here than there ever has been. this place is nice compared to a decent amount of the community, but it's never been perfect. there's bound to always be an argument now and then, and that's okay. overall this is a really mature, respectful, useful post that might actually help to stop drama. thanks for making it <3 gonna make this as short as i possibly can while still getting my message across because you're holding me back from playing overwatch with my friends: 1) you'll note that i did not name any names in my prior post, nor did i call out anyone, insult anyone, or really say anything that could be taken as a personal attack. your style of posts is the polar opposite. you find things you disagree with and people you don't like, and you directly reply to them and insult them on a personal, offensive level. it's rude, immature, and accomplishes nothing, as well as contributing exactly zero useful points to the conversation. if you want anyone to take you seriously, stop doing this- the only reason i'm responding to you right now is because you did it first and i feel the need to defend myself now, if i didn't feel that way i would be incredibly eager to just forget about it and have fun. 2) this is the reason you were banned once and the reason you should be banned again. overall these are incredibly immature, rude, hurtful posts that do absolutely nothing but CAUSE drama- in fact, i'd go as far as to say that posts such as these are the primary cause of drama on this forum. please stop being like this. i hope that this is the last time i will have to write something as long as this.
This is a nice post, the only TRUE way to stop it is to just ignore it and not give the people causing it any attention, or it will start again. That's what I do.
Paragraph 1. Yes it has never been the best, but it's just gotten worse because of a lot more expectation (just an increase) and an disproportionate increase in ability. Paragraph 2. When I said the bunch of individuals line, I kept much of it at a general level of the entire GD community. And as far as put the past behind, that's what ppl keep bringing up, they seem to love the past, as well as rue it. Once again this message was fairly general though. Paragraph 4. Always general, Because this extends beyond just us. Sum-up. we both agree and disagree with each other. Your final message. Thanks, when I put thought into something it typically comes across as such.
Im one of his friends who he was playing overwatch with, and honestly, its downright low to literally target an argument at someone. That was meant for everyone. And the whole "Everyone can be an asshole on this game!" Is not an excuse. Completely agreeing with him here. Everybody in a community should understand that there are steps to take to solve drama, but you have created much more drama, to the person who was targeting splash. People like you are the reasons this community struggles, which i hear about from splash all the time. He's a peaceful and educated, and good person, all traits of a person who could lead this community to improve. And for the person who made the anti-drama post, your wonderful and thanks for trying to bring people together. No community is perfect, and thats a fact. Me and splash are in a community that is not nearly the same as it was before, which is a parallel to this community- used to be better in the past. And thats okay. But you cant return to that past, you can only decide to affect the communities future. And me and splash and others in this said community have made it into a better and better place. Nothings going to ever be the same in some cases, but that does not mean you cant work to change it, little by little, one person at a time.
