How is this game still alive I'm just looking at other communities and they're almost dead (but the game keeps updating). But why does this game keep alive? It's like RobTop is dead. There are no updates but we still enjoy the game. There are two things possible: - We are just very nice and we wait for updates. - This community is just too big for dying. EDIT: I think GD already died a bit.
I play that game too! Although, my tablet won't charge for some reason and it has to get fixed so I can't play it ATM. That's because krazyman is famous. There are some really good creators here that have feature-worthy levels that are actually good (including me (only for my most recent levels (The Simple Level especially), the rest are sh!t), also yes I have seen some people's levels from here), yet they don't get featured. Geometry Dash is just so unfair when it comes to creating...
For unfamous creators, you can't expect you get featured if you create a feature-worthy level. If you wanna get noticed, you gotta make an absolutely glorious level first, then your average levels will start getting featured. It annoys me when people say, "Why isn't this featured?" One reason: Cause RobTop hasn't seen it. Why hasn't RobTop seen it? Cause it's not good enough to get popular.
Sorry again that I'm taking so long. Feel like you guys will be disappointed with how bad it is having it take up this much time tho so that's why.
71% twice on new cataclysm!! and like 68% fails today.... im going to livestream tomorrow hopefully i can beat it
i wish rob would make more GD mods... there's lots of responsible people out there that want to help but are totally unable to. or maybe, like, a kind of "junior mod" that has an option to directly send levels to other full GD mods for them to then assess themselves. the main reason why lots of feature-worthy levels don't get rated is just because not enough mods see them for rob to then see and rate them x-x
im sorry, but im sick of people complaining that robtop doesnt feature some random person's possibly shite level. if you want your level to be featured; branch out to popular creators or attempt to talk to robtop himself, in a stream. like i did. case closed.
i've done all of those things for my levels; messaged various mods in GD, messaged them on discord, put it in youtube level request comments, put it on level request streams, pmed/messaged/whispered rob about it multiple times, gotten it reviewed by GDForum judges... and yet none of them are featured. hell, megaman9 sent in one of my levels, Soul Spectrum, to be featured nearly 3 months ago and it doesn't even have 150 downloads. the system could be improved in so many ways so all i'm doing is giving my suggestions in the off chance that rob just might be watching... i'm still wondering if he has an alt account on here
Bad idea, there are enough mods in the game. Now if some levels don't get feature it's because the system sorts all the levels sent, so some levels might be at the very end. I don't really know HOW this system sorts the levels, that's a thing that only robtop knows i guess.
This is a legitimate problem, you just got lucky dude. Robtop never responds back to people that aren't famous and it's hard enough to try to contact a mod. I've been creating levels for over a year, wouldn't consider any of them particularly bad, and so far I have 0CP. My next level will be my best but I'm honestly reluctant to finish it since all that time can go productively elsewhere.
