My level ShowTime got featured! Gggggggggg! Everyone pls check my account and play it. I want to see it a popular thing on YT! (Don't mind the bad grammar, I was just so excited!)
Isn't it popular enough if it's featured? Most of us don't even have a single featured level here... :/
It could always get more popular, it's an amazing level, it deserves to be all over YT. Plus he already had 2 features before it, so it's normal to set goals to get it more popular than his others.
Dissapointment I found out today that solid blocks cannot rotate at their axis...and that was what I wanted to use the rotate trigger. It was also one of the things I was most hyped for. :/ Well, I guess I could try to make similar gameplay with it only rotating at different axis' rather than having it stay at one axis and rotating in place.
̿ ̿ ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=(_)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿'̿ ̿ ( •_•)=ε/̵͇̿̿/'̿'̿ ̿ Heya, why can't you rotate solid blocks in place? Can't you code a statement that lets the device know that at one angle, the player will go at this speed and will be rotated at this angle, etc.? ̿ ̿ ̿'̿'\̵͇̿̿\з=(•_• ) BTW, please don't add this in 2.1 (even though I guarantee you are reading this after you finished 2.1, just in case), because we already have enough stuff. Thx Rubby. Also, shouldn't 2.1 be known as 3.0 instead? I mean, the update is WAY too big for its number to go up by only a tenth; it's close to the size of, if not, bigger than 2.0. Therefore, it should go up by a whole one.
Hm, that is true, but it still shouldn't be an issue. He could make the hitbox rotate along with the block, and then, he can code something that tells the program, "Hey, make the player crash if the player touches the hitbox."
How do you know? Do you think is that easy? I think RobTop already thought about it, and i'm pretty sure he has his reasons for not doing that. Let's stay with what we have instead of requesting even more features for 2.1.......
I never said it was easy to do; I said he should be able to do it. In fact, I think it is very difficult. I also never said it should be in 2.1. Maybe it could be in 2.2...
Uhh, he specifically said that it'll move solid blocks around the rotation point, not rotate them quite a while ago. I agree, even if it is possible, it doesn't mean that it should be added. It'll cause terrible gameplay, loads of bugs, and we'd then be getting 3 year updates.
And do you think I can catch every Twitch stream (I rarely ever go on Twich streams) and catch every update video?
Wait...if we can't rotate solid blocks at their axis, then would we still be able to rotate spikes...? I mean, we can rotate them at a specific angle in the editor, so shouldn't we be able to rotate them with a rotate trigger as well?
Hitboxes don't work that way. They are meant to stay in a solid shape with the same rotation (most of the time). It would also make the game lag
Well okay, I guess it won't be too big of a deal making similar gameplay with rotating blocks so they go in a circle rather than spinning in place...
