Firstly, you need some way of privately communicating with your friend, whether it be kik, touch arcade PM's, etc. Just any way to convey your level password without any unwanted people knowing.

Now, with the level itself, you gotta agree on a song and creation intervals. For instance, maybe you guys want the song "The Beggining of Time", one of you starts creating the level in their own account, building the level up to a certain point, such as 0:12. Once that person is done creating that portion of the level, they upload the level, allowing copying with a password. Then, the other person starts creating the level, branching off of the previously made portion of the level. And everything bounces back and forth from there.
