Actually, there is a rule about x-axis movement. We've said it so many times before: x-axis movement desyncs the music. Besides, as I've said before, it's not an innovative idea. You can theoretically create the effect in 2.1 by putting an invisible block in the middle of the screen, locked to the player's x-axis, then use a rotate trigger on the whole level to make it rotate around the block. Simple as that.
Same thing with speed portals. But RobTop's solution was to move the lines. So RobTop can do that same thing with the loopy-loop vehicle. The line move depending on their position. This way, the creator can put portals so it can sync with the music. Besides that, we can also create the spider. Set the player to be a ball, and put some invisible teleport portals, and there you have your spider. But it would be easier to make the actual vehicles because first of all, it would take up less time, secondly, it would take up less objects, and finally, RobTop can use it for the main levels. BTW, I thought up of doing that a very long time ago, and I was thinking of using it for a level. Also, we can make objects go in circles in 2.0. But having a loopy-loop vehicle would be a lot easier.
Of course it's simpler for there to be a spider gamemode than a ball with teleporters. A loopy loop vehicle would just create awkward gameplay. Making a ship with moving objects just feels less awkward.
You don't understand. Speed portals weren't bad things because they didn't let you go backwards. How in the world can you "move the lines" if the friggin vehicle is looping? The lines would be much more cramped than usual. Sure, it will be easier to implement if it was a feature, but how much easier? You only need to add a block, set it to a group, have an alpha trigger and a move trigger, then put the rest of the level in another group and another move trigger. That's three triggers, two groups, and one extra object for a whole "gamemode" (if you can even call it that). How about the spider? You'd need invisible portals literally EVERYWHERE. How many objects would that take?
Depending on their position, they would have to either moved forward or backwards in order to get the music in sync. BTW, they'd move automatically, just like the lines for the speed portal. What if someone is using a 6-minute ultra-effect level? What if they wanted the vehicle to be in it, especially multiple times? You see, with the vehicle would take up less objects. That also takes up lots of time. People sometimes rush parts of levels. It could be a true emergency, also, and they could have very very VERY little time. What if that part that they rushed had the loopy-loop vehicle? Some people also rushed full levels. What if it had the loopy-loop vehicle multiple times? It would be a lot easier just to add a portal than doing all that. I bet it just takes like, 1 second just to simply add a portal compared to what you explained. Moving on, it would be known A LOT more if it was an actual vehicle in the game, and more people would use it. RobTop can use it for the main levels as well. EDIT (referring to last post): I did think of making the loopy-loop vehicle myself way beforehand, but I was thinking of doing it a different way.
Just as I said, the lines would be cramped. It'll just make things harder. And enough with the what ifs. People rushing their levels and screwing things up? Please. That's their fault for screwing up. If they did screw it up, it would be very noticeable. They can fix it easily. If they want to use the gamemode multiple times, that would be an extra trigger and object ID for each time they use it, since you can keep the invisible block locked for the whole level. Not that big of a deal. So that's what you want, huh? To make your idea known? Somebody made Undertale's Purple Soul as a gamemode. It's not like that would be implemented as an actual gamemode. I'm sure there are loads of other artificial gamemodes out there. But those creators didn't make them with the intention of making it an actual gamemode. What makes you want to do so?
An argument over whether or not there should be a loopy loop vehicle. And my dope level: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=crZ_rNcMqQs ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Question time (Only one): What is your most common death (In %) in any demon For its 13-15% in Deadlocked Edit: OMFG I WAS SO CLOSE BEATING MY % Record in Deadlocked!!!!! Best is 81% and i got 80%! FUuuuuuuuu
Who cares if the lines are cramped? If they are cramped, then too bad! If they screw up, and it was noticeable, people would start to dislike the level, and giving it less of a chance to be featured. Then, even if it WAS fixed, people would still stay away from that level since they know it's bad due to all the dislikes. Also, your idea would make people very dizzy. If it started to spread, someone can make a very flashy level and they could use that concept. The worst part is, someone's screen could accidently be very bright. This can lead to major headaches, and possibly banning Geometry Dash due to all the major headaches people get. Although we can still have the game, RobTop would get very sad, and possibly stop updating the game since he knows that the community would never grow. All of this would be on you. It would look super weird as well. Just imagine a Nine Circles level using that concept. It would look ridiculous. People think RobTop's demons are easy. However, with this vehicle, he can make it a lot harder. If it was also known more, then people would start to have more variety instead of having the same x-axis vehicles throughout the whole time. I'm not calling RobTop's vehicles bad, RobTop's vehicles are actually all awesome, but everyone can still lots of variety since there was never such a unique vehicle in the game.
Obviously people will care about lines being cramped. What you said doesn't change the fact that it's detrimental. Wow. If it's noticeable in gameplay, then even the creator would notice it. Otherwise that person is a bad creator and doesn't even deserve a featured level. And what makes you think your idea wouldn't make others dizzy? It's the same thing altogether. And why do you care about it being a trend? Don't you want to make your "gameplay" a thing? What a total hypocrite. And what does flashiness have to do with this? Nine Circles levels are already a thing. Get over it. Besides, a Nine Circles level using my concept? Ridiculous. This is the wave gamemode we're talking about in NC. It doesn't even suit my concept well, gameplay-wise. No one in his right mind would combine NC with my concept. Isn't the point of the official levels to familiarize players with the game mechanics? Robtop shouldn't even be making it too hard, because players would have a harder time grasping the concept of the mechanic. There's already loads of variety available, especially when 2.1 comes out. There's definitely better options than your "gamemode" for variety. The robot and the spider are already unique due to their being animated. And x-axis movement is definitely not a form of variety.
Okay. First of all, it goes in a loop. That means that it will go back and hit obstacles that you've previously passed. If it goes in a loop, it has a huge area that it can and will hit stuff. You can't put blocks in the middle of the loop and expect that it won't hit it. The only way it would work is if very precise moving blocks were used. That doesn't fit the normal gameplay of Geometry Dash. Every other gamemode doesn't need certain requirements for it to work. Geometry dash is designed for forward only gameplay, and with the loop it will require it to jump forward or backwards. Also, what happens when it touches a block or slopes? The looping mechanic will not work with that. It's an example that you haven't thought everything through. You're trying to prove me wrong because you want it added into the game. I can almost guarantee that if I explained to Rob all of the reasons that it wouldn't work, he wouldn't just try and prove me wrong. He'd probably decide that it wouldn't work. There. I gave you some of my reasons that you really can't counter. Now, do you want to keep going back and forth about this or are you going to accept that it will not work? Because it won't. Rob said he was okay only because he was trying to keep up with the other questions and didn't really think it through. You're getting destroyed by everyone. Just stop trying. Everyone hates the idea, so what's the point of adding it anymore?
