What's wrong with that? Most people (including me) can't really do super great gp. They focus on the effects that's why I wrote semi good!
Good gameplay isn't really that hard. Make sure your gameplay does not have any moving objects associated with it and it will be way better.
Well, just make the first block affect the gameplay, and the rest decoration, there you go. Anyways parallax effects are supposed to all meet up in the same location when they pass the cube.
