I think many people are missing the true point of meltdown. Geometry dash has grown BIG over these few years. RobTop knows that there's a lot of hype on the community, which means people telling more people about gd and these people telling OTHER people about gd, causing a domino effect on gd's popularity. Nevertheless, gd lite is simply a shadow of normal gd, and i can assure you some people buy regular gd before playing lite (or never playing lite). Now this brings up an issue, the levels "might" be difficult for newcomers, which leads to game disapproval, etc. So, the way I see it, meltdown was a great marketing strategy: Maybe gd needed a little spice to heat up things around hereor something, some kind of spark that brings new players, and RobTop is no fool. He announces meltdown, which brings hype to this big community. Community will tell everyone why they hyping, these people get interested, they download meltdown. Now, everyone knows that meltdown is extremely easy, so newcomers finish meltdown -> they say "huh this is easy bruh" -> they see that there's full version available, but uh you gotta pay -> so, either they get it thru piracy, or they see this beautiful, glowing, big button that says in big white letters: FREE LEVELS. -> they get gd lite -> they love the game and start seeing difficult stuff and blabla -> people will buy it (profit) Meltdown wasnt supposed to be a new challenge, rather a marketing strategy
I thought it was because the lite levels use ugly and outdated blocks, not reflecting the current game very well. Sk he made another lite version with the new blocks and features.
Eh... Old versions levels were once great. Everyone said darnocs levels were awesome. Have they changed? No. Compromise: Stereo madness=good level ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Edit: Not really but old levels aren't actually that bad. I enjoy playing darnocs or dawns old levels, oldschool can be good if creator is good
i think in meltdown, if you connect with a account with more achievements, you should unlock them and a level editor with no pop-up ads.
