Nice! I think it's good to have a mix of level difficulties - there is a lot of very hard levels out there, nut not many easy ones, so this is a nice change
Next update will increase the number of blocks you can use to 15000, so you won't have to worry too much about it
Robtop can u plz fix the glitch in 1.9 where when u put an object behind the green line I did that a lvl I like and it's unplayable it keep crashing (I was being dumb at the time)
I think he said that in 1.9 it won't be possible to place objects in that area anymore. (In between the first block and the green line)

I really need to write a good level editor guide with some tips and tricks on improving level design. I will try to create one after update 1.9 and the Steam version is released. Right now I have lots and lots to do. But here are a few quick tips: - Try to figure out a theme, and build within that theme. If you look at a few of the later official levels, I usually design a level in sections, with each section created with a theme in mind. The visual appeal is much greater when you try to create a theme instead of just adding details to a map. A simple way to design a theme is to combine a certain type of block with a certain type of detail. Dont mix to many things together as that will make the theme seem chaotic. - Build your level in sections. By building a level in sections you give the player a set of goals to complete. Each section can be defined by a seperate theme. Tip: Listen to the music to determine where a section should start and end. Also by creating a theme it is easier for the player to navigate your map. Instead of saying "I reached 63%", the player can say "I reached the ice section, fire section" etc. - Dont clutter up the level. A lot of levels tend to use to many details, making the obstacles hard to spot. Try to design a clear path for the player to take, and then add details around that path. That way the details do not confuse the player. You can of course ignore this technique to create a more confusing challenge, Electrodynamix is an example of a map that breaks this rule, but I prefer the clearer option. - Dont forget details! Not adding details or a designing theme makes the level look bland and players will not want to put in the effore to complete the level. A lot of players dont play to just collect stars or complete a level. Many players play a level just to see what theme or challenges are coming up next. This is also awesome in update 1.9, since players will want to play a new level just to hear the next part of a new song. - Begin with a simple challenge. Building a good easy level is better to start with than trying to create a good difficult level. Designing a hard level is not really that complicated, but designing an entertaining hard level that looks and plays good is trickier. Also keep in mind that easier levels can be played by more casual players, which will generate more downloads for your map. That's just a few quick notes, I will go through a lot of things and cool tricks when I write a full guide. Back to work...
copy paste this and keep it cuz i always make shit levels lol.....but now ill try and improve thanks for the tips rob......also could u consider another suggestion could u make us a colour that is oure white because i wanna make snowflake themed level but the problem is when i make the background white it looks grey and then it ruins the whole effect
RobTop this might sound a bit weird but is there anything I can do to help you out? E.G. And a lot of people will like this, when 1.9 is out, can you have admin accounts for rating levels? I know you are very busy all of the time so if I could be a staff member or anything else that you need me to be, please reply or PM me. Just a way of giving back Thanks!
I make AWESOME levels! Excuse me RobTop.... I am asking a favor. Can u please check out my levels? I get some attention, but not much. My friends Minesap and Cuttyflame123 have gotten at least one of their levels starred, rated demon, or even featured! I have none, and i have made over 50+ levels. An example of one of my levels is called Neptune... By TD PhoenixZ. Thank you.
I guess I'm using to much detail then lol cause I used theme throughout the level with lasers and the hexagon blades
