Nearby, but no. Song is not from Waterflame. Here is another clue, --------------------------------------------------------------------- GAME OVER T. A.? <---- THE NAME IS THAT YES.....NO
I leave for a bit and all this stuff happens. Anyways there is something I think RobTroll needs to work on. I have no idea how to implement it myself (hey I use ProcessingJava and I've only made one little game so far) but then again RobTop's a legend. You'd think that at this point us players as a community would have figured out every secret of the game, but nope. So recently I've been unable to save my account data. Uh oh. Why might that be? Here's the correlation I draw. I started working on a really long auto level. I go over the object limit. Save system breaks. Uh oh. I tried deleting some levels, still didn't allow me to save. I still think that it has something to do with huge blobs of data not fitting into the server save slot. Now, some games have tried using a hard currency to buy extra save slots. But if you need to earn that extra space, even if you can get it free, it usually involves either "wait" or "git gud". I just tried deleting a ton of levels (majority were copied) and then saved. It worked. So RobTop if you could find a way to grant more save space to creators that need them, or at least some more intricate "save error" messages, it would be nice. If it told me "Cannot save because of incorrect level details, please update levels with errors" then I would find levels that had "0 objects" and then edit (not really) and resave them. If it told me "Too much data to save, 4.2069MB/2MB, can only save first 17 levels, save anyways? Y/N" then I would know exactly what to do. But knowing you don't know... really hurts psychologically. I got another idea. Another one of those "more technical options" in the options. "Show data usage" Above the list of your levels, have a few numbers. The amount of data your levels total up to, and the amount you're allowed to save. Anyways, one problem down, 5 to go. 1.Old levels get deleted. Okay, sure, popular star rated levels will always stick around, but since you don't have unlimited server space you have to get rid of old levels. Problem is, we don't get to choose which ones go. I would hate to pose restrictions on creators, but I think it's fair to create a "level quota" for creators, stored locally on their device. The more popularity they get, the more it increases. It would start high enough so if a good creator just started (let's say Etzer came in and made HyperDrive and it got super popular) then they could continue. If you go over the quota, you'll be notified that you should start deleting some levels off the server. Star rated levels don't count towards the quota. If you go far enough over the server will pick your least popular old levels and get rid of them. 2. Song search/sort. You know how annoying it is to find the song you want out of 200+ saved ones? At least a sorting option if not a search would be nice. Perhaps a zoomed out folder view? 3. Here's an idea. If you beat an official level with 3 secret coins, you can copy it. I made copyable versions of all the official levels I could but they got autodeleted. 4. Level editor guide is so outdated. Proof other than the fact it doesn't tell you about colours or anything, look at the interface. 5. Map packs haven't been updated since... a long time. Proof? There's not a single level with Blast Processing or TOE 2 in there. I'm assuming map packs are meant to be updated if you need an internet connection to just view them even if you have all the levels saved. So if RobTroll sees this, please do something about these problems.
Cool! I beat decode a few days ago, and it was my hardest demon so far! (I'm not a great player, I beat lots of easier levels to get to the top 100)
