Am I the only one that thinks RobTop should bring back Ultimate Destruction? With coins and everything?
Name issues Hello there. I have a problem with my username in-game. Actually I waited some time because I thought the change was not sudden, but I noticed I still have the old one. Basically some months ago I had changed my username from IGDreamEater to DreamEater, the problem is I still appear as IGDreamEater in rankings even though I can log in as DreamEater. I need my name to be fixed... the tag is useless in-game.
You probably don't know what happened then. Actually the author of that song didn't allow the usage of the song. ... Bad move, considering how famous he's now (still decently famous, nowadays the song is pretty much used in the levels together with The 7Th day) and how famous he would be xD (much more probably!)
That's actually not the reason why the song isn't allowed for usage. RobTop mention a while back in this thread that he didn't actually ask TMM43 ( the composer of Ultimate Destructions) for the rights to use the song in the game, due to the fact that he thinks it's a remix and will therefore be tricky to get licensing for. :/ That's kind of sad really, Ultimate Destruction would have been an awesome song in the game if it were in a main level. Anyhow, we can already use the song on Newgrounds, so that's a plus in my book. And guys, don't get so impatient for the update, RobTop is still in the bug fixing stage and he said he hopes to release some new information within a few days. I know we're impatient for the update, but it's only been two days since that announcement... I think after 8 months of waiting for the update, we can manage to wait for a few days.
It would be awesome if RobTop were to bring back Ultimate Destruction into the game, but the level style is outdated now ( it uses mainly 1.0 blocks and game mechanics/modes) and the song would only support a "Hard" and under difficulty. That pretty much rules out any chances we have of Ultimate Destruction becoming a main level, along with the fact that RobTop thinks that it will be tricky to license. :/ Well, 1.0 was much bigger than 2.0 is at the moment, but that's only because 1.0 introduced all of the main game elements that make up Geometry Dash. It brought in all of the blocks, the first 7 main levels, etc. 2.0 is probably the biggest update that added new things, though. Speaking of which, where did everybody go? This forum is so quiet today...
There's like 2 posts every hour... It's so quiet. Anyway, I think there should be a secret blue coin in the two new levels that are extremely hard to find. There will be 3 gold coins but then 1 very hard blue! Just a thought
Wasn't the design from Ultimate Destruction what became Base After Base? If it was brought back, it'd just be a slightly different version of Base After Base
