1: Would you allow texture packs like in-game in 2.0?
2: Would we be able to see the levels that the people on the leaderboard have made?

modding tool in the future?

Hey RobTop, can you tell us what the Top+ layer is and what Group ID2 is? Also I'm prett sure the detail tab in "edit object" changes the outline color, right?

Hey Robtop, I'm sure I've said this before, but here's a quick question.

How do you suppose the new featuring system is going to work? Is it going to involve people looking for great levels like the old system or an automatic featuring system..? Just curious.

Oh yeah, another question. Are the user coins going to be able to be used by everybody or just levels featured or levels in map packs?

The thing is that there's one thing that ALWAYS makes Robtop leave without fail.
Questions about 2.0.

 

1. Well, the main reason it exists is a bit technical but Top+ is available to detail objects that are placed above the Top layer. So not all objects can be placed on that layer, it's just an extra option.

2. One object can belong to multiple groups. And you can use triggers to manipulate groups.

3. Some objects are built from two images, using the main and detail channel you can customize these objects however you want

It's not fully planned, but it won't be automatic. The goal is to design a system that makes level rating faster, and easier. Basically just make sure that more great levels get rated, since there are so many awesome creators that haven't been found yet. Will write more about it later

User coins will be placable by anyone, but they will only count once the level has been given stars/featured. It will require a verification system just like the stars, to stop abuse.

robtop have you fixed the music listening bug in editor in 2.0 where the song tracking line doesnt follow with the speed you choosen when you put your start speed anything other than normal speed? Sorry if cant understand i just woke up 8)

You can fix it yourself by putting out music lines in the editor.

 

but this is a bug and it needs to be fixed 8)

 

You mean when you place a start pos object and set it to a different speed than the previous speed?

 

so 2 color objects are, for example, the ones in electrodynamix first speed boost?

 

When you set the level to a certain non x1 speed from the start; the music tester in the editor will still go in x1 speed.
