I finished my school on May 29 Now I'm free for 3 months (till September 1) So, I just beat Supersonic, Deadly Clubstep, PG Clubstep, Clubstep v2, Windy Ladnscape, Theory of Skrillex, ToE II v2 Can you guys give me more challenging possible demons (Please don't give Cataclysm or Ultimate Phase etc)
taken from robtop games tweet, the geometry dash rap https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PxNpmByD8yg it is in Spanish, but i hope you understand the song, IT IS THE REALITY
I don't see why everyone seems to have a problem with X-Axis teleportation. Firstly, you can have the same problems with Y-Axis teleportation as with X-Axis teleportation, which include teleporting backwards and much more bugs. With the Y-Axis portal, you can set one of them behind the other which can lead to backwards teleportation. You can simply write an algorithm for the X-Axis teleportation portal as with the Y-Axis teleportation portal that only let's you traverse horizontal distances forward, not backward. Yes, it will take a lot of work ( RobTop said so himself), but the end result will be cool ( once again, RobTop even admitted it), but it's possible. Now, here's the part I don't get: Desynchronizing the music. All kinds of teleportation in general can desynchronize the level with the music. The Y-Axis teleportation portals don't, so do any one of you have a good reason as to why it won't work with the music? I didn't see a single good answer on here regarding this topic, as all of you went on a random tangent about how you can teleport backwards. I need to hear a decent reason about why it would mess up the music with the timing. :/ Many of you said it isn't necessary to " skip a chunk of the level". Well, in my opinion, the Y-Axis teleportation portals are even more useless than a hypothetical X-Axis teleportation. We already have gravity pads that do almost the exact same thing, and on the flip side, falling down is almost the same as teleporting downwards. Y-Axis teleportation is also kind of limited, since all it does is let you instantaneously travel up and down, which you can already do in the first place . There are much, much, much more interesting possibilities with a pair of X-Axis teleportation portals. Don't say that Y-Axis is better, many of things it does is already in the game. :/ I think you guys are partly biased against X-Axis teleportation for some reason. The only excuse you give is that " The X-Axis is reserved for constant speeds". That's not a very good reason, in my opinion.
Hey Guys :S I just made a new trail and I think it looks awesome :s Its combination of P-col1 (Player color 1) and P-col2 (Player color 2) Random icons and colors http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108825842/9214CF10301D96E04C0176E7396A6226B9107B45/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108825523/EEF770482AC351E004281E7F3E124AFD7243C8F8/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108825129/0530CF3B0270C141F2D4A7202E6DE019269B2B34/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108824826/0B0EFCE9CE9E510E3DB59550A08E44229D661AE5/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108824388/689AE12E8A40847BB5BB0AD8D0EF27E59C347EDF/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108823976/809F473CA07127FB0797B6B55363E0829731B5C0/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087108823688/D17269CA34CBCD6703B7203CE38D0B65D9CD00A6/ http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/29618087109326314/5516A96EBF10B9400D2776136DEC97950D6857C1/ The downside is I need to change the color of the trail manually each time I want to change icon colors :s Robby Can you add this to game?? You really don't have to I'm just thinking it would be cool to add this feature *Sorry for bad grammer
Hey Robtop, I have some questions. At the first 2.0 sneak peek, when you enter the gray portal, a text appears that says "Go!" Are you adding a new text feature for levels or that "Go!" thing only appears when you enter the gray portal?
Sailent didn't verify it in the first place. He just went into the game's spreadsheet and changed his level to "verified". In fact, he found another verifying glitch and will make " Silent Clubstep v2" with it.
I have an idea on how x-axis teleport could work without desyncronizing the music. If you would go through the portal you would pop up on another place on the screen. The speed wouldn't change or anything, just the icon would be pushed further to the right or to the left. But to get back, there must be some new kind of fix for that. For example it will slowely move back to it's normal position on the screen. This idea will mean that somethimes the icon will be moving a little bit slower than normally, but it will still be able to make Triple Spike jumps. What are your thoughts?
That looks reaaaaaally nice! It should definitely be added. Can you imagine outside black inside white?
Hey RobTop, have you ever considered livestreaming? Maybe you don't have to show us 2.0, but you can take level requests and stuff (I'm not sure if a post like this breaks the rules, if it does, I'm sorry) Also I wouldn't mind hearing what you sound like lel
No you can't. That's why it's so bugless. The main complaint here is that the only way the x-axis teleporters would be useful is by going BACK in a level; but the song wouldn't restart. Instant up/down movement is REALLY useful. You can have infinite falls for example; i.e. the wrap-effect discussed like 6 months ago. We are biased against x-axis teleportation as there's no purpose for it and it would leave a trail of horrible, boring levels. The "X-Axis is reserved for constant speeds" thing is in place because 1) nobody likes motion sickness 2) Honestly, name ONE SITUATION where it would be useful to teleport on the x-axis.
Also, on the other forum, you said that you wanted a big portal " since the mini portal came out". However, now, you changed your mind and said that you don't want it. What made you change your mind? I'm not trying to start a big portal conversation, I'm just curious.
