Noo Y axis portals dont screw up the music, I don't think you understand the fundamentals, it has an algorithm making sure it does not move the player forwards or backwards, just up and down
but that is not the point, that would not help if you dont follow the music, but if you have the x-axis teleport and still follow the music, would no problem in no way the unique reason it can variate is when you touch the hitbox, of the portal, that will only variate if you try to skip the portal, so there is no damage if you dont try to skip the portal and no problem so that is my point, where it drives you have nothing to change, only the hitbox of when you touch it
Guys,if Backwards mode was Also Opposite mode? Another mode,navy blue colored bar,you play in inverted gravity an mirrored. Basically Rob have just to select all objects and let them upside down. Then ne puts a mirror portal at the very start of the level. I had idea with another user,check backwards mode on GDFreeforums to find him!
v2 mode Also what if there's are another mode? Rob puts Neptune's v2 but nerfs impossible passages on demonic ones. V2 mode will let you do the v2 of the 20 official levels. The bar is orange
I don't know about you guys, but I'm getting really tired of waiting for this. I know I shouldn't say things like this because it is a big update and there's only one person working on it. Still, we have no clue when this will come out. It could be early June or late December (kind of exaggerating, but you get the point). I remember when I saw the tele-portal image, I got really excited, but I also felt like the update would never come out. I just wish Rob would give us some more info other than "very soon". I was thinking maybe a week and a half or so, but it's been more than that and we still have no further info. I'm losing hope with this. Even a guess of how many weeks it would be released in would make me more than happy, along with a changelog. This is just starting to make me a tiny bit frustrated. Thanks for reading (if you read the whole thing), and I'm sorry for ranting about this. I just had to get it off my chest.
There are so many big stuff we don't know about, he wants to catch us off guard. We will be so stunned... Wait... Otherwise it would ruin the surprise
IKR this is a hugely bad idea. I've seen this X-Axis stuff so many times now and I have one answer: No! Backup answer: HUGE audio de-sync
It seems as if the only people who like this idea have no musical experience at all and have no idea how huge music is in influencing geometry dash :/ just my two cents though
I agree with you. Although I'll just think that the waiting paid off because there are many new features 2.0 has in store.
Okay, let's look through the x-axis teleporters once and for all. 1. Will they break the game? NO. They'd probs work the same way speed boosters do; if you check them the level always takes them into consideration. It's worth to mention that loads of creators will be messy with them; which gives more "bad level" potential. (So did speed boosters; but there the positive outcomes were so many more than the negatives...) 2. Purpose? I'm stumped here. The only thing I see this adding is more tools for people who are jerks; which shouldn't really be something to pursue. The y-axis teleporter can be used in loads of interesting ways (x3 miniwave, I'm looking at you!) but the x-axis just makes you skip a portion of the level. What's the point?
X axis teleporters could work, but not backwards ofc. And i think there should be a limit for the placement of the other portal, so there won't be levels that send u 200 blocks forward. Let's say about 4-5 blocks ahead? I think that could work

Ok you know what I'm gonna ask a question many are wanting to know. Will we be able to edit the text like the text that says "Go!" On the first sneak peak for 2.0 or is it only text that says "go" like I wanna make it say "thanks for playing" at the end of my levels lol
What if in 2.1 some of the new icons were just for mini mode, so you can change the appearance of it slightly - they could still be fairly basic so they don't look too wierd that way
I'm the opposite. Devs have a ton of work to do, if Robtop released this early and there were issues/bugs then all the 100's of people who post/spam here would totally be on his case. Devs dont always give a date (specially indie devs) as its difficult at times working to that timescale. I mean look how many people post here 'i dont want to annoy you but can you tell me the date ?'. I mean just be patient. You lot must be terrible at Xmas asking for weeks before hand what presents you have. Plus its an update, Robtop wont be making anything on this will he ? If i was him i would release it as a seperate app to make some money or an IAP. Robtop wont say weeks ago 'it'll be on this day it'll be out' as he might be adding more to it, might find issues etc. Again for the 21342342th time, just be patient. Bothering him every day posting 'when its out ? you said 2 seconds ago and its not out ?' type stuff doenst help
I agree, I was programming a game, and posted the sneak peek first on the other forum. I haven't finished the full version yet. I was still continuing the full version of the game. There will be 100 levels. Therefore, I don't know when the release date will be. I also feel RobTop, because I am going to be a future game developper.
