X-Axis teleportation could be used to traverse horizontal distances in a short amount of time, though. There is currently no game mechanic out there that allows for some cool movement on the X-Axis. All of them are aimed for the Y-Axis, which is kind of limited, in my opinion. You can use it as a fake, and you can use it as a trap, but not really much else. I still think X-Axis teleportation is more useful than Y-Axis teleportation . The reason you have a lot of ideas for Y-Axis teleportation is because it's pretty much the same thing as a gravity pad/orb, so you know what you're working with.
Im building a level structure undecorated so I can release it quickly in 2.0, but with the features Rob hsan't told us about, I'm almost worried I'll have to redo it lol
Okay guys, question time: What's your record in the Ultimate Phase? I have 9% with 260 attempts... ( I'm not very good, I know ).
It would actually make it easier to set up obstacles and fakes with X-Axis teleportation, since you can just set up multiple pairs of teleportation portals and make it a maze of some sort . Plus, it would be pretty cool to have X-Axis teleportation, and RobTop said so too a while ago. He said it would be cool to have it and he might expand the teleportation portals to allow transportation on the X-Axis.
Pls halp ROBTOP- I LOST ALL MY DATA!!! I HAD 124 DEMONS! IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN RESTORE IT? I REALLY NEED TO! I WORKED REALLY HARD!!!! My account is "Null" if that is needed.
We REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY don't need more ways to make people be douches. Fakes=/=Good gameplay design; 'tis rather the antithesis to it. The only people who overuse fakes are people who 1) can't time their levels (Which is the point of the game after all!) to the music or 2) thinks it's the only way to get a featured level.
New music! Hey, everyone! RobTop, I would love it if you would check this new 8-Bit song I have made. Just finished it! http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/627581 Please listen to it! Sorry for the glitches throughout the song, FL Studio isn't going so well lately I am only available to make 8-Bit music at the moment because that is pretty much the only type of music I can make because of all the equipment that has been deleted from FL Studio for some reason. But, anyway. Please listen to it! I really hope I will get scouted
When I first saw some videos of geometry dash I was thinking that the mirror portals are teleporters. I always wanted teleportation in GD since I realised they are just mirror portals. Y axis teleportation can be somewhat useful already but I think that teleporters should be able to allow you to travel anywhere in the level.Y axis only teleportation seems just incomplete to me.
But wouldn't teleportation to any point in the level screw up music timing? It's an interesting concept, but I don't see how it can be implemented without messing up audio.
Hey robtop, have you ever considered having the small icons be the same as normal icons just on a smaller scale? Would that be something difficult to code?
RobTop said that the reason there aren't any icons for mini mode is because they look ugly when small. :/ He does have a point, though. You can miniaturize the default icon with a nearly identical imprint ( icon) because it doesn't have much detail on it, but when you look at the later ones ( the one you get for completing Electrodynamix for instance), it'll look ugly due to the considerate amount of patterns on it. It could work for a hypothetical big mode ( hint hint, RobTop ), though. Okay guys, question time: What's your record on the "Ultimate phase" by Andromeda? I learned on the other forum that you only need 20% or more to qualify for the Impossible and Extreme Demons record list, and I really want to earn a spot there. My record went up from 3% today to 11%. I'm curious to see how many people would actually qualify.
i have been thinking that x-axis teleport have the same probabilitie to make the music off than the y-axis teleport, the only difference is where the portal teleports you, so they are basically the same in terms of screwing up music
