Just make sure that the laser towers don't follow the creeps. As long as they stay on target, everything is fine. So, make sure stuff dies before the tower needs to rotate...

    This game is harrrrrrd.

Just beat Medium 2 after a couple hours and 20+ attempts.

One Vortex Tower in the middle, a ton of rocket towers, and a laser tower in the upper right. A few slow towers as well.

That is exactly what I had said. This is VERY FRUSTRATING as it wastes a whole laser fire that is spent turning the gun.

It seems the developer will add a two tap alternative which I'll surly use. :)

If I could simply tell the lasers TO STAY in the current position and not follow targets anymore, it would be really, really great :)
Maybe in the upgrade / sell screen?

BTW, I'll give iit 5 stars in the German app store... that game is just great.

You have to use the vertical and horizontal lines that are shown on screen when you place the towers.... this will allow exact placement where you want them.

The games graphics look great and everything. If anyone who has this and 7 Cities as well, what level of difficulty would you say this matches up to in 7 Cities?

7 Cities doe snot compare to this really diffiuclty wise. I beat 7 Cities my first time through in about an hour and a half.

This game is just brutal, but it does get easier as you develop a feel for how to defeat the groups on enemies and the annoying stars.

7 Cities is the only game with a real "perks" system, which I really enjoyed.

    difficulty

You mentioned easy being possibly harder that is should be. Yet people also really like it as-is.

    My suggestion:

Keep it the same, since people are enjoying it as is. But then add ANOTHER, easier setting below that. (You could even rename the difficulty settings, but keep the current "Easy" gameplay around under some other name.)

    P.S. I finally beat Easy 5 :)

P.P.S. One minor bug I think: sometimes Pause will not respond for several taps. Not the end of the world, since this isn't a TD game where pause is part of the gameplay. But when you want to pause to think or answer the door, it can matter. (I'd say this problem happens maybe 1/10 of the time.) Other than that and a few spelling errors, the game seems flawless after several hours. Several sad, lonely, Friday hours with my iPhone games :p

Just beat the 10 easy levels. It is not to hard, it just plays different than many TD games. There is a "hump" you need to get over then you buy, buy, buy and the screen explodes! Great fun

That's right--I'd always get SO close to winning, and die on the last wave or two. With a ton of cash all of a sudden, but you can't possibly shut down your best towers to upgrade them as you're about to die!

So... buy a ton of cheap new towers to help out at the end! Forget precise placement, just buy firepower in bulk!

How To Video: Easy Level 2

Okay, I whipped up a How To Video on Easy Level 2

    http://gallery.me.com/nsxdavid#100015

This shows how to beat it without any real difficulty. I'll improve my production values and such as I get use to making these.

    Any requests?

A machinegun tower....nsxdavid, this is the game that's been absorbing my time. And level 2 was a pretty easy level. Had 3 lives left by the time I had won.

    Thanks much!

Now I know the laser tower behavior is annoying... but its part of the design in that it forces you to think even more precisely about where it has to go. The main point, though, is that the levels are all so carefully balanced that if I change something like that now... I'd have to rebalance the whole thing to account for it. hehehe But let me think about that one.

I love the balance in this game. I'll get frustrated at a level for a while, but once I eventually figure it out I love it. This is one of my favorite games right now and definitely my favorite TD. There's a chaotic feeling in this game that is absent from games like Filedrunners. This is also 10x more difficult than Fieldrunners, I think.

I finally beat easy 6. I thought it was impossible for a while, then I figured the right placement and got over that low money hump, I beat it with like 8 to spare.

I guess I'll give this game a try I thought I found a good retro TD when I found retro defence in the store, but sadly it didn't deliver and was very buggy so hopefully this game that is getting so much praise will put my needs to rest(for the time being).
