    Fast forward

Funny thing is I have a X2 speed mode (I can recompile it in that mode) which I use for some testing. The reason is that it takes a fair amount of time to play through some of the higher levels... so testing and balancing levels got to be very time-consuming. I think I'll add in an option to let you play it fast like that. It's actually a lot of fun. But even with out that I have some really fast moving levels in there all by themselves.

Yes indeed, it is a LOT OF FUN! And perhaps maybe... if you double the speed, then you double the fun! :D

Thanks nsxdavid for the great game! The difficulty level is just right and makes the addicting in the "Almost there! I'll have to try this one more time" way. Please do not make changes that upset the game balance.

IF the game needs to be made easier, the suggestion to a make novice or intro setting by reducing the enemy strength on every level was good. Maybe make the enemies 30% weaker but reward only 50% points for example. That way the game can be played through in the novice mode, and then again in the regular mode resulting in 60 levels.

Another suggestion is to add an option to offset the tower building placement a bit above the finger (I don't know how well it would work at the bottom of the screen though). The lasers especially are hard to place correctly when the finger obstructs the view.

The td game genre is great in how many different approches there is to make challenging and fun games. Thanks for bringing another such great example to us!

    I managed to beat easy2 myself :D !
    easy3 is even tougher <_<

I love the way towers are 'introduced' in each map, helps with the learning curve and lets you understand each tower properly.

This game is absolutely amazing for 1$. Its on par or better than 7 cities, and that was 5$ !

I have a request to make, do NOT change the difficulty IMO and if you really want to reach across to the casual or newbie gamers, add a EASY mode or something.

The difficulty is what makes me play this game again and again, Its like I failed to defeat the levels due to 1 creep remaining, or 1 wave remaining and it makes me want to play it again and optimise the strategy 1 notch so that that creep is taken down. Keeps up the action, and is really enjoyable.

Kudos to you for developing a really great TD.

only thing that bothers me is the targetting, i'll have one tower near the base with another earlier route passing close by (like say on easy3) and these pineapples will be coming in to take out my base and my gun decides to attack the pac men instead

that's one of those things where i want to throw my ipod out the window, and not go find another strategy because i know this one would work just fine if i could pick which creeps to attack ): or if they attacked the farthest along creeps etc

As the person above me said I just wish you could select a target. This would be a vast improvement.

I'm unconcerned with a double speed feature -- I stay busy enough in this TD that I would not use it. (Unlike, say, Crystal Defenders, iTD, or 7 Cities where the speed feature sees frequent use.)

I'm on Medium 2 and haven't beaten it yet after several tries. Still feeling out the vortex towers to see how many I should use, what towers to attach them to, and how many towers to attach to each. I find it incredibly annoying when a laser tower fires its charged shot off into nothingness as it turns.

I have found that it is important (at least in the beginning) to space rocket towers, otherwise they'll both fire a rocket at a creep and the first one will destroy it, leaving the second to drift off out of bounds.

I'm really impressed with how little "fat" is allowed in a successful design. I think the dev provided a good commentary on this while discussing the "tipping point".

This is superb! I think I would prefer the tower cursor to be over the finger, rather than the double tap suggestion earlier. Any chance you could include both David?

In any case this is money well spent:)

David welecome to the forum, a few questions

Are you going to add a level editor?
Are you going to add new towers?
Are you going to add new levels? (not that I need them right now)

    Brilliant game!

The difficulty must be changed. Easy mode is suppose to be easy. For those guys who like the difficulty, you will get your fix in later stages like it is suppose to be. Casual players are just going to be frustrated and leave a bad review.

Making the easy levels really easy would cut 33% of the game content for those who like the challenge. I hate those games that have useless baby levels for people who can't cope with playing a same level for a few times and really learn what the game is about.
An individual game cannot be targeted to all audiences and succeed. It will be a watered down compromise.

Ok, maybe I'm thinking this wrong and I'm not supposed to have 30 challenging levels to play, but only the 10 targeted for my skills. Then cut the price of the down to one thirds :) No, seriously, what really made the geodefense such fresh change and great success here at TA was the fact that the game is well balanced and rewarding to play, not just pretty kiddie game.

So what's up with that scoring system? For the life of me i cannot figure out how this works. It seems that the faster and better i get at a level, the less points i earn. e.g. level 1: about 2-3 creeps leaked = 19k / no creeps leaked and faster 15k... So, wtf?

Havent really paid attention to scoring yet, but maybe the scores are higher the closer the creeps are to exit when killed? Kinds backwards if it's so...

Look at your multiplier. Creeps award different multiplier bonuses depending on their proximity to the exit. It would follow that the levels you barely pass would have a higher percentage of mobs killed near the exit, and thus a higher multiplier.

oh, that seems plausible. I'll keep an eye out for that one. Time to experiment... :D

Does anyone else find it extremely frustrating that the laser towers fire as soon as an enemy is in proximity even if it is not facing them?

I'm also having difficulty with easy 3.

Still, it's one of the most well rounded TD games on the App Store. Just wasn't expecting the difficulty curve to skyrocket. :)

Awesome game, especially for 99 cents.

    Features I want to see:

    Zooming.
    Tap Targetting.
YES. Laser towers shoot at nothing when rotating to fire, thus a delay.
    More frame rate optimizations.

Overall, easily worth 99 cents and then some.
