Considering it's a tower defence game the name has got more to do with that than Blue Defence. The icon I'm not so sure about but it's a tower from the game so it seems legit. I doubt the developer copied the icon from Blue Attack or Defence purposefully.

who cares about the icon, have you see the actual screen shots? the art design is almost identical.. glowing wire frame.

Cool. I just paid more than this to try a Nestle Chunk bar! (Which was nasty--raisins!!!)

Thanks for the heads-up. I can tell I'll need a TD subfolder on my home screen (at such time as Apple updates the OS, anyway). I have four now, and I still play all of them. And amazingly, they each have a very different feel and tactics.

By that logic the 'blue defense guys' copied off of the 'geometry wars guys' who were emulating old school vector style arcade games to begin with...

What's with the 'payback guys' copying the 'grand theft auto guys'.

This game is a breath of fresh air in the TD genre on the iphone/itouch. More than worth a dollar if your a TD fan.

Glowing wireframe isn't something invented for Blue Defense. It's a "retro" look that hundreds of games have used for years. Inspired by the old vector displays (like Tempest) and the movie Tron no doubt.

(On the iPhone, Radius is the first game I can think of to have that kind of style--and it came out WAY before these games we're talking about now.)

they are called vector graphics, and this style has been around for decades. If you think blue defense was the first game to have these, you are WAY wrong. Go get edumacated, stoopid.

Buying app now, planning on updating with review shortly.......

[Edit] The game is well done, it does fit the typical "TD" mold but you can tell the devs really tried to put their own twist on the genre. I personally like the difficulty, some of the TD games try to attract people by being simple. This game makes you think a little. I am a huge Fieldrunners fan, so I find it hard not to compare all TD to it, but overall this game does well in my book by comparison. A definite "buy" at the price, and i would even say up to 2.99 even.

    for what it is worth.......

This app is great, well worth the price, but brutally difficult. I am up to mission three and I have been playing for a few hours.

This game is good. Not so hard that it's impossible but hard enough to make you replay levels and have to effectively strategize.

downloaded it a few hours ago...i really like it!
it's a really nice TD Game but not for "newcomers" in this genre!
what i really enjoy are the animations when destroying enemies (explosion and the impact-wave) and the sound!
The price is also a reason why i like this game!;) EUR 0,79.- is a good price!
