  1. I think I'm like a lot of people who think that "Easy" mode is still really hard. Which is surprising because I consider myself to be a TD veteran. I guess I'm out of practice!

    You mean hard, harder, and hardest, don't you? :)

    It's no problem for me. I'm not "offended" by the game. I'll try it some more and enjoy it or not. It's a buck, no big deal either way.

    It's just unfortunate for the developer that he's put together a quality package here and a couple of small preventable things have held it back from where it could be in recognition and in sales. JMO. In my case for example, it's the difference between recommending it to friends or not. It doesn't bother me, although it does indirectly affect the developer. People can disagree, that's fine, so long as we're amicable and constructive about why we like or dislike something it's all good.

    Those difficult settings doesnt reflect how hard it is

    Should be
    Easy = Hard
    Medium = Insane
    Hard = Masochist

    or something like that

    How can you call it easy when its nowhere easy?? :confused:
    You are thrown right into HARD difficulty without knowing it

    I've never tried a TD game before december 08 when I bougth fildrunners.
    My IQ isn't 2K and I'm not a TD pro.
    And like many other TA forum members I'm able to beat the easy mode without many trouble (execet for the beginning when you've to understand the basic gameplay and strategies) and the same apply to the medium levels,just finished today.
    Repeating a level with a different strategy isn't frustating IMO,the challenge is fun.
    So,before rant,play it some more time,focus in a single map,because different map require different strategy and I'm pretty sure that if you are not retarded you'll able to beat every easy and medium levels.
    However a game can't be fun for everyone.
    If you don't like the difficulty of this puzzle/td maybe you can just buy another one.
    There are plenty of brainless TD game,like fieldrunner that feature an easy mode and don't require to apply just one exact strategy to win.
    Sorry for my english,isn't my first language.

    More maps, please. This is a really good game.

    I think all maps can be beat without losing life. It's just like puzzles you need solve.
    Some maps are really easy if you know what to do. Though some are not.
    I think only hard2 need some work.

    Not at all--I think being a TD veteran may even HURT you at the start: I know I had some TD assumptions that I needed to put aside in order to win at geoDefense.

    Some TD games are different in obvious ways: they have obstacles or abilities that are unique and so you think about how to use them best. The things that make THIS TD different are tactical issues (which may vary from level to level) that call for different thinking even when you think the scenario is one you understand from past experience.

    I am almost through. Only three levels left. I've spent hours with geoDefense, for me personally one of the best computer games ever.

    In the TV studio where I am working everyone is addicted and playing instead of making TV ;-) (It's not me on the photo, but made by me with iPhone.)

    What does the line that you can drag out of towers do? The tutorials never seem to tell me. I don't expect strategies to be revealed but if there's a mechanic built-in, you should tell players how to use it (as soon as it is available).

    You don't know because you can't already use it.
    You've to play on a map with vortex tower.

    Hmm, why include something you can't use? Hide the line function like the developer hides the new towers. It just serves to confuse.

    Medium 2

    Anyone have tips on how to beat Medium 2. What combo works the best on this level. I've gotten close(3 creeps on the board @ 24/24 when I lost it all). I saw a screen in an earlier post, but want to know if anyone wants to talk strategy and tower placement. This game is crazy great. I love it when a game comes out of nowhere and steals all of my free time. The GeoDefense pull is to strong..........must....try.....to beat.....the next level

    I finally, after 14 tough days, just beat medium level 2. There was a screenshot provided by NotYou if my memory serves me correctly about his strategy. In fact, that didn't work for me, don't know if my timing for upgrades wasn't on. Enough with that, you guys don't care, you just want the strategy ;)

    What I finally did was I loaded up on the laser towers and put as many as I could near that first straight-away where the creeps come out. I put them at every angle, probably about 10 at least. And lots and lots of those yellow shocker towers.
    I think the trick is really to get those vortex towers upgraded, and make sure your towers are connected to them as they give them extra power.
    I also loaded up the bottom of the map with the laser towers and the yellow shockers.
    All I know is I'm probably never going to play that level again! Since last night, I've played the next 2 medium levels and beat both within 2 tries!!!???!!!
    I think Medium 2 should be hard 1!!!!!!!

    This is one of the harder level,my strategy was to defeat the creeps when they appear with 3 laser towers at max level and other tower that fire in the same place to support them when the creeps get stronger (and vortex tower connected to the laser).
    Then other laser towers should be placed in the other two straight but only when is impossibile manage the first straight only,and a mean really impossibile.
    And then stay ready to build in a hurry during the last 5/6 waves.
    Another memebr of the forum has used a completely opposite strategy, building all the towers in strategic position and then starting to upgrade them.

    Basically, you had lasers and shockers at the beginning and end of the level being powered by vortexs. What level upgrade were your lasers and what did you do in the middle of the board? Thanks for the strategy! I just want to clarify. I will beat M2!!!

    I did use the strategy mentioned previously of only upgrading my towers once everything was placed.
    I placed those shockers pretty much throughout the entire board to slow down the creeps, with a healthy dose of those red (I don't even know what to call them) bomber towers. No green thingy's.

    I had the laser towers along all straight aways (top right also if my memory serves me correctly, but near the beginning, bottom right and don't forget the bottom left (the homestretch for the creeps. But a huge focus on the middle of the board....I also lined up a few blue laser towers behind the #10 and ontop, lined up the yellow towers on the actual straight away before the "finish line".
    I don't even know if any of this makes sense... :)

    Can anyone PLEASE give me a strategy or build order for Medium 4? I have been stuck on this level forever.

    I don't know why this one is so hard for me (I finished Medium 2 on my first try with my own strategy, and that one seems so hard for others).

    Thanks in advance!

    ^i just tried it again and beat it with no lives lost, and then realized i was on novice mode. i tried the same strategy on normal mode and won with 6 lives lost, all in like wave 13 or so

    first i put around 6 blasters in, upgraded them to 3 or 4, and then put in maybe 5-6 missiles and upgraded them all to 5
