Every level from easy to hard feels like survival mode!!! But seriously, to answer your question, I don't believe so.
Good luck getting to level 30 I'm on 8 or 9 and it's really hard. It got really hard on level 2 or 3, actually. If you're thinking about getting it, just get it. It's an amazing game and the difficulty only makes it more fun.
All TD games are a puzzle. You're probably just accustomed to TD's so easy that the puzzle can be won without thinking because there are so many possible solutions. Welcome to a difficult game, enjoy your stay.
Well after watching the vid im getting it xD Now, would it be possible for this game to have a level editor? I think it would be easier to implement than for 7 cites, fieldrunners, or creeps because the graphics in this game are simpler. It would be awesome because it would allow u to create your own "puzzles"
OK after getting to level two, ive only noticed one thing that bothers me laser towers dont make sounds xD i know its not a big thing but that cant be too hard to add can it? lol maybe im just asking for too much good game though
Yeah, actually they DO make a sound... its just almost sub-audible. I will fix that in the future. The shock tower do not make sounds though... I do need to fix that. Plus a few other sound effects I want to add.
I love the sub bass of the lasers. I love all sounds that don't remind me on real shots too much. The game is rather surrealistic (graphics, lov'em) so it is opportune. At the first glance it doesn't look like an ugly war game (much more like a crazy pacman or snake in fireworks or something) and that is a special feature that I appreciate. Away from war to fun. Uhhm... Sounds should be stereo. And for me personally the sliding of the towers to place them is okay. You have to get used to it a little bit but then it's okay. Better that tapping maybe. Much more I've missed a possibility to correct the position of a tower. You should have a second or two to move them a little bit when you see that you didn't place them so exactly as you wanted. Then the controls would be perfect in my honest opinion. I've written a short review on geoDefense in German language. - Here is the Google translation of it but please don't laugh The graphics are superb! Really. Retro and very modern together. I have a favour especially for this screen and would like to have my next spreadsheet calculation ;-) or homescreen in such an artistic manner. It seems so translucent and shiny in a very special and mystic way at night:
man this game is difficult, what is the best way to beat level 1 on easy? It seems like it is literally not possible. It's wierd because I can beat other levels but not that one.
Oh my gosh. I love this game. It's so hard, which makes it awesome. I wonder what the supposed "hard" will be like. Oh gosh! ^^ Great game dev.
Love this game! I've been a huge fan of Geometry Wars graphics and the idea of TD, but no TD game has realy cought my attention so far. All of them where pretty ugly, except fieldrunners, but fieldrunners lacked content. This is really the game for me with some really cool towers and LOTS of maps! One thing though... The first level is "hard" (but I did it) the second level I still can't complete. But the final level (Last level in Hard mode) I got to wave 34/40 in my first go! and I wasn't even trying hard! Once you get those Vortex and missile towers, things get easier.
and please please please move the sell button further away from the upgrade button ! My iphone was not that cheap and i really dont want to destroy it but throwing it against a wall after failing to upgrade my tower having sold it instead This is good though but god its tough but in a good way
I don't know if it already has been mentioned, but I miss an option to replay the current level (for highscores) instead of moving to the next.
The replay option would indeed be a useful addition. This reminds me... I was a bit shocked when I had struggled through the first "easy" level for the first time, and the game then proceeded straight to next level, no questions asked, no rest offered. In some ways this game is hilariously brutal, it kind of throws a gauntlet at you taunting "you can't beat me, loser" and the only thing you can do is shout back "goddamn, I'll show you this time!". Love it.
