i'm beginning to suspect that whoever said the bastards at apple are keeping it back for the keynote speach may be right. i personally am incredibly totally fu**ed off about this not coming out yet - but everyday more and more crap is released
I am sure that that is not it, because a number of people on this thread have assured us that we should stop complaining because it will be out real-soon-now. Hmmm, we haven't heard from them for a while..... Michael
yep and they have been saying that for the last four weeks too which makes it somewhat unbelievable by now
I'm still holding true to my predictions... - 15% chance of rejection because of either OpenFeint 2.0 or DLC. - 5% change of release - 80% chance of no news this week. (same prediction as last week and I was right) Move along now... This app is definitely not coming out anytime soon. 4 weeks without any communication to the developer means there probably are some problems.
Why is that necessarily obvious? If there were problems, they'd have rejected it ages ago, surely? When the problem arose?
Let's just say that, as a quiet observer, I have seen some weird stuff from Apple lately. Rejections have been help up for quite some time - sometimes the developer is notified inside of 3 weeks most times not. Developers have been quick to fix the issue(s) and have subsequently wait up to a month to hear back about the changes. App approval time should be updated to 4 weeks (unless you're EA or GameLoft, etc.) w/o problems and 2-3 months if any issues arise. We've seen this with ADD, Quantum C update, and countless updates for games that have been in the cue for up to 4 weeks now. I guarantee you all the situation will get much worse before it get's better. Bugging Apple won't do shit - people will vote with dollars and devs who spend XX months waiting will eventually move on if they can't get an app out. I hope we start seeing ports of great games like this over to the Android market and then we can finally get some competition in the mix.
We don't really know what's going here, but if the developer was hitting up other game titles to get his game on popular searches, that's a bad thing. On the one hand you people complain about it, and on the other, when it happens to a game you;re looking forward to it, you hate Apple. That said, we DON'T know what happened here, so don't jump to conclusions just yet.
