Ok so Medium - The Hat looks like this _ | | | | | | / \ I can't for the life of me get past wave 21... i've tried everything! Relying on upgraded missiles, upgraded lasers, mixture of both, and I always die at the same point. They all rush at the same time and i get destroyed... i even tried building the booster ones and detonating them over and over, and that didn't work! I've been fine up till now.. am I missing something? That screenshot from before is great and all, but it just shows the winning layout, which is pretty much identical to how i have mine set up... What am I missing?? PS does anyone upgrade the missile turrets to full strength? Once they reach that level the missiles just fly around and don't seem to hit a target! Seems like a waste of money? Thanks in advance for any help!! I'm getting frustrated! PS It's tax season at work and I was able to slowly play this game throughout the day, and it definitely made the day go by faster!
The Hat is really not very hard. You get soooo much money. It's just that by waves 20/21 you have to have enough level 6 missiles to take out the bum rush, then it's smooth sailing. Start with the lasers, switch to the missiles around wave 10 or so. Those laser positions are pretty arbitrary, you can do different stuff with the lasers and still win (such as placing less and upgrading more). Only upgrade missiles to level 6. After that just keep on adding missiles (you can add more lasers too if you want, you get TONS of money).
I did it!! thanks to your help! I was almost premature, as i was typing my victory speech on here a couple creeps snuck by so i ended up beating it with only 3 lives left... i guess the secret was to focus on rockets, just like you said! Great work, that is a really fun level, but 30-40 aren't that fun because you're just spamming the enemies, instead of focusing on strategy.. I hope the later levels are just as fun! Right, I'm not sure why he didn't just end the level at wave 22, past that there's really no way to lose as long as you keep spending money. I loaded up the left side with so many missiles that no enemy even makes the first bend let alone gets all the way around to take a life.
I've just finished hard10. From the very first attempt! But still can't beat hard2. People who won it - have you tried to do this again on latest version? I want to see layout that can hold whole 25th wave. I've tried various strategies (including cheating with upper field border), but starting from 25th wave 1-2 creeps do always leak...
Don't know if this has been discussed already, *not going through 11 pages* but did anybody else figure out you can manual aim your turrets? That's what I do with the laser turret when it starts aiming at something else.
If you're talking about the line that comes out of the towers, that doesn't make them aim. That's to link them to the rainbow things you get later. I thought they were target things too.
Please have a look at the description in iTunes. I am using that feature regulary when I want to make lots of money by killing the creeps short before exit.
each of the tower levels? Can anyone point me in the direction of a description on what each of the levels of the towers please. Look here and on developers site, even googled and can't find anything. cheers Dave
Finally beat the Hat based on suggestions from this board. I am a happy man! Awesome game. An online leaderboard w/ groups would really top this game off.
Hell yeah! I've beat it too! That's most arcade level of all. I was tapping like crazy, upgrading all this towers. Weird obstacle snapping makes fast and accurate towers placing quite a challenge.
Okay, I've completed every level except for two. Hard 2 and Hard 6. Based on what others have suggested I have an idea of what I need to do to beat Hard 2, but does anyone have any suggestions for Hard 6?
ive been playing TD's since like 2002 in wc3 and having troubles with just medium in this game... DAMN! every level has been beaten I assume ?
