  2. Strategy really depends on the map you are playing. I tend to place down fewer towers, but upgrade heavily.

I just wish a pause feature would be added, but while paused you could still place towers, and sell them for full price if you just placed it while still in pause mode.

congrats on the hard6, I've been stuck on that one for a while and I'll try your nice symmetrical setup.

did you know that by selecting a creep, you can choose to focus fire on it?
    has anyone used that function?

The developer announced it here, I've posted screenshot of the advice in iTunes and so on.

It's one of the most interesting and obviously most overseen functions in the latest version of geoDefense and I use it a lot. Not only it gives you a "minor control over creep target in an emergency" but also if you have accomplished a level with all lives safed the next challenge could be to make a lot of points. To get the high multipliers arrange your strategy that the creeps die just very short before the exit (x10 x20 x50).

If you tap on the creep esp. the laser guns will aim immediately on it. But sometimes it's hard to hit them because the fireworks are so dense that you can hardly see the creeps (esp. the fast ones) in the turmoil.

Please have a look at the screenshot it's Hard 9. See the score I've made! Who got more?

A nice feature for the future could be different online highscore lists (very motivating and high replay value), world champions in challenges like: Who rescued all lives with most money left? Who needed the most/least tries (bad, forget it ;))? Who made the highest score (w/wo all lives rescued)? Daily, weekly, monthly, all-time filters.

Post your top 5 most difficult levels. My order is based on the number of tries it took me to beat each level. This is kind of tricky since your basically a Jedi after beating Hard 2 which makes the rest of the hard levels a relative cakewalk.
    1. Hard 2
    2. Med 2
    3. Hard 1
    4. Med 8
    5. Hard 8

    Playability

Forget drinkability, this game has playability! I thought it would be over once I (finally) finished all the levels, but now I'm going back and trying to get high scores by placing towers toward the end of the run. Except for Hard 2 -- I'll never try that one again! :)

    The Hat

I finally beat the Hat! Took me probably 30 tries. I think the secret was not to look up at the creeps but instead just focus on upgrading as fast as you can. I upgraded everything to level 6 that I could as fast as I could. I still had lots of cash left at the end that I couldn't spend fast enough. Here is a final screen shot.

I was going to get this game when it was on sale for $0.99. A few minutes later when I opened up iTunes to purchase it, it popped back up to $3.99 without any announcement >__> Eh that killed the incentive to buy it, pity it was a pretty good game. I loved the sound effects lol.

    Medium Level 2 - Gordy

I don't get it. The only medium level I can't crack!
Can anyone help me, please? I tried all setups advised here, and still can't get it to work.
Is there any particular trick to do it? Do I have to use Vortex light bridges, or what? It's driving me crazy...

I remember really having a hard time with this level also. Finally beat it using one of the strategies mentioned here(can't remember which) and went on to the other levels. After beating hard 2 which to my mind is about 10 times harder than any other level in the game I went back and played medium 2 and it didn't seem that hard. I used the method of many missiles upgraded to level 5 for the most part and beat it on the first try. Don't upgrade to level 6 because it seems to be a waste of money on this level. On my initial play through I thought there was a trick to beating each level but that really is not the case. Multiple solutions are definitely possible.

I agree Rex but once you start to figure out strategies and what not, you will not b able to put it down. I've spent many nights playing until 2 or 3 am just trying to beat one level. The game is worth every penny!!

Yes, this game causes lack of sleep! Cause you start a level and you cannot put it down until you have cleared the level!

    This game ROCKS!! :D

So, I guess I must be doing something wrong.
    Couple of tactical questions:
Missile Towers: Close to curb or not?
Laser towers are recommended here to be placed to shoot after the creeps, and not at the incoming ones, but I can't tell what's better.
Is Upgrading superior to more towers?

In general - more towers is more damage/$ efficient.
While most of attack radius is utilized.
Some levels IMHO are about careful towers placement
    and efficient space usage.

Diff levels require diff combination. On very fast levels (straight lanes, fast enemies), more is better. On slow levels (roundabout / dead-end laned, slow but powerful bogies), usually upgrading works better.

The tighter the maze, the more important to reach optimum # of missiles vs upgrading.

In general missiles work best, though a few lasers never hurt. Green guns work better for very short mazes (where neither missiles nor lasers can charge/reload fast enough).

Yellow towers seemed to work better w few but upgraded, since they are expensive but do no actual damage.

I've stopped using the spiral/rainbow thingy since they seem to be more of a cheat for novices (i.e. linking many lasers / weapons to even 1 seemed to increase damage potential exponentially).

At the end try diff combos & see how far u get w each, & just keep restarting the same level until u have better idea of what each can accomplish.

    H10 - Final Victory

Anybody else felt a bit disappointed by H10?

I had quite an hard time on most of the Hard Levels, then the final level comes and... first try, not a single creep made it through...

    that's it?

I could enjoy an option whereby, once you've finished a level and have all those towers set up, you could choose "unleash hell" and have new waves upon waves of creeps coming through.
