Ya, I guess I just didn't realize I had the new ship since its the same design but green Instead of blue or whatever. I've probly been switching back and forth without even realizing.

I probly shoulda saved for a better ship anyways... :/

This game is pretty cool, so far. I really like the shmup/rpg mash-up idea.

There are three things that bug me, though.

    1) Perhaps it's just me, but I'm finding the explosions to be a bit distracting. When a lot of stuff is going on and there are a bunch of explosions, I lose track of all the bullets flying around, especially the ones that are the same color as th explosions.

    2) I did the royal cargo mission, only to get to the end and find out the reward needs two credits to open, which I didn't have. It always burns me when I play a game that has missions or quests that reward you with stuff you have to pay real money for. That's not a reward, it's an IAP.

    3) I really wish this game could screen flip. Three times now, I've slid my finger just a little to frantically on my iPad and hit the home button. If I could flip the screen so the home button was at th top, I wouldn't have to worry about that.

Other than that, I'm finding the game to be a lot of fun. The story banter, graphics, sound, and music are all great. The control scheme is perfect with the way the ship sits off my finger, but gets in closer as I move to the bottom of the screen. That was a pretty slick idea.

I'm playing online as a guest, how do you play with friends or what is the friend system here? Was hoping to have other ships join in :)

I think they could be slightly easier. I would somewhat have to agree with them, they do get frustrating. A healing item is a must in this game however it drops randomly and people generally won't have one when they reach their first blockade. I lost all my lives to the area 2 and 3 blockade missions. After that I had gotten the hang of things.

    A few problems I'm reporting

Since the previous patch (1.0.9), often Elite Units (Mini Bosses) will float off the screen and no other enemies will spawn. It still will show the Elite's HP bar, but damage cannot be inflicted, nor will it's bullets be visible. I have tested this error, and it is possible to happen in every mission with elite units.
Since a bit before the patch, I have had this glitch where I have virtually endless lives. It looks as if all my lives are used on the title screen, however, I can die as many times as I want and still continue to play without any wait. But hey! I ain't complaining!

I'm thinking of purchasing the gem doubler but the fact that the majority of the ships cannot be used unless I spent a ton of money is pretty disappointing. It would be nice if you unlock all 7-gem ship options once you purchase a 7-gem ship. If not, any other option for you to enjoy all ships without shelling out too much money will be welcome. Maybe 20 bucks for all ship unlock?

If you are considering the Gem Doubler - a little insider's tip. We're gonna be doing a promotion for reaching 500k downloads this weekend and dropping the price down by $2.

As for the ship unlocks - the cost are a bit steep, but I want to make each purchase feel important, and the Credits can be earned in game so I felt it is justified. However, in the next major patch we want to add a preview or test flight mode where you can demo the ship before you decide to buy it.

Wait what? What about those who bought the gem doubler at its original price? A little reward for those would be nice, it isn't cheap but it was a worthy investment for a worthy game for me.

And one more question, regarding the Vampire Strike ability, etc 8% chance to gain 12hp when damaging an enemy, the effect doesn't work on bosses, which I think it suppose to. Can somebody correct me on this?

I was excited about the vampire strike too, thinking it is free HP vs bosses. It didn't work for me though. Then again, it would be incredibly overpowered if it did.

Hmm... if the only way to get credits is to beat bosses, which I assume will have 1 in each sector, I think that is a bit too few to unlock ships... And because credits is pretty expensive, that optimal route will be to just buy 1 or 2 of the more expensive ships (and not being able to enjoy the other "non-optimal" ships). While this is perfectly fair and balanced game-wise, the "collector" side in me is going to go nuts! It would be nice if there is some sort of progression where a player unlocks the weaker ships, then gradually gets the better ships.

Well, I guess you underestimated the potential of your game because yes it is amazing.
Obviously I understand, you cant always have the story progressing at every juncture. But I was worried that it was a bit TOO quiet. I mentioned the sector numbers and I just felt having a WHOLE sector on multiple occasions without even a little dialogue was not good. It didn't have to be directly related to story progression but maybe even a little banter, or the main character talking and reflecting to himself... I dunno, just some random thoughts.
Anyway, I've been too keen to wait for things and decided to press on. Was glad that the story was re-awoken at Sector 32. What I really like is how there isn't just one thing going on at a time...
There's the discussion with the Prince. The pirate's motives and how she got in touch with the Prince. The strange headaches.
... and then trying to piece it all together with some of the things that have been said and occurred in the early parts of the game to try and figure out what's actually going on. I've already formulated some theories in my head about what could be happening and every now and then, I feel like a shining light bulb has appeared over my head with a new theory and possibility. But even with all those ideas I've come up with, I still feel like, there are a hundred more plausible possibilities that I just haven't considered yet and I just know that probably when I progress, what actually happens in the game is going to be different to all the theories I've come up with.

Anyway, on a somewhat different note, I would like to make a couple suggestions.
    1) You mentioned about revamping the story or adding a bit more or something. If you do that (or even if you dont), I think a New Game+ idea would be great. I'm not sure how hard something like this would be to code, I would like to imagine it's quite simple. One thing I would like to do is to then with my super ship, have the ability to blitz through the game one more time to enjoy the story in full flow. Right now, it's been a tough stop-start journey with often me having to go back and grind a little or having to retry and retry certain levels.
    2) I think the main STORYLINE bosses really deserve a revamp. You mentioned there's 100 sectors (WOW!), and I appreciate it's a lot of work to give unique designs to all 100 bosses. But I do think the Storyline bosses have a very good case (especially since they are from the Upper Hierarchy) to have much more snazzier looking ships. Their AI is fine, but a slight design change or if not that, then even a colour change just to differentiate them from your standard grey-coloured boss. Their characters have been FANTASTIC, it would be great if the battle with them could be a little more memorable too.
    3) I think I've mentioned this either in a post at AG or on my AppStore review that an ability to get more info on the ships, either a preview or something, just to see how they shoot etc would be fantastic. I'm really confused as to whether to get the 35 credit Envindr or one of the 25 credit ones.

Anyway, those are just my 2 cents.
Thanks for the great game and I'm really glad to see you trying to improve on it.

I can't get past the first blockage mission. I equipped all the health and amor items I can find an dupgraded them, but the screen is literally filled with lazors and bullets with very little space for error. Any advice? Am I missing somme sor tof game feature or control?

    About blockade missions...

When I tried my very first one, I also died on many occasions. I'd find myself then having to wait for lives to reappear and go about it again.
Now though, I can get through them all either without being hit at all (sometimes once or twice.)
Upgrades and items are not necessary for this. And I wouldn't even say it's all about skill, but mostly recognising the pattern.

But the biggest advice I can give is this, and I might even go far as to saying it could be a borderline exploit. but anyway here it is in below:

What this involves is knowing that the blockade mission is basically designed in sections. Each section has its own pattern of bullets, beams, missiles etc. But most importantly, between each section is what I like to call a "SAFE ZONE" where nothing is fired at you***. It's basically a small strip which divides up each sections. What you want to do, is without spending any time in the danger sections, or very little time, is, AS QUICK AS YOU CAN, fly over from one safe zone to the next one.
The way to do this is at the beginning, keep your ship as far down towards the bottom of the screen for as long as you can until you actually come close to the danger section and you cant go any further down. As long as you do that, you will see the safe zone appear towards the top of the screen. As soon as you think it's clear and time to make your move, zip yourself right up towards that safe zone. You will barely need to any dodging as long as you find the right moment. Then as the level is moving, stay within that safe zone and move down along with it until once again you reach the very bottom and once again, you'll see the next safe zone appearing towards the top and once your moment comes, again, zip right towards there. Rinse and repeat until you reach the end.
What you'll find at times, is there'll be a moment where all you need to do is just literally flick your finger.

***I have RECENTLY done a couple of Blockade missions where actually a beam has come within the Safe Zone. I'm currently at Sector 33.5 as I say this.

EDIT: Lol, so it would seem that me and the guy above made our posts at almost identical times.
What I would suggest is looking at his video at 00:38 to 00:42 which basically demonstrates what I said.

Yeah, you didn't think many people would surpass a certain sector?

I'm currently at work and am trying to beat sector 67 level 2 :)

Love the game, playing on a 5s and have never had a elite fly off the screen like others have stated.

Just wish upgrades where somewhat easier to obtain. I'm also sitting close to 90,000 gems with nothing to spend them on.

Also, the storyline has basically died for the last 10 sectors. Just endless levels with nothing to progress with.

nice to know that I kept dying at the entrance of the last portion LOL. I am going to give it a shot now. I was just about ready to delete the app out of frustration.

Aside from obstacle frustrations, the game is so good. Deleting it before getting good loot is a bad idea. It's so fun once you start getting all the cool abilities.

I do wish there was a way to replay the story. As it is now, once you pass the part you'll never see it again even if you replay the level. It's a bummer since I like the story. There's only one game account so you can't start a new one to play it over.

The stats on one of my regen items got reset and the damn mobile app isn't letting me upload a screenshot.
Went from 14hp/5sec down to 3/5
-edit- it looks like it happened to a bunch of my leveled items once I put them back into my inventory.

^ Forgot to mention this bug.

Not sure what happens but it seems the item is fine once you put it back into your equips but putting it in inventory may hide the stats. Definitely a bug.

Also dev can you make the page scroll stop resetting at page one every time you open and close an item? When I try to compare items this makes it incredibly difficult. Maybe you even need a compare item screen. Seeing the base item points before upgrade would be really helpful as well.
