@themadbat I'm currently at level 58 and already finding it difficult (dying a lot more than I used to). Did you use golden claw to get you through? Were there any bosses between here and where you are that gave you any trouble? I'm wondering whether the difficulty plateaus out or continues to increase.
I use golden claws for secret cargo quests. I'm not gonna lie but given how scarce those quests are, I want to maximize my chances of finishing those quests even if it means cheesing through the stage. Plus, even with good stats, cargo elites will still two-shot you especially when they have fast moving projectiles. After the 2 bosses I said that are broken, the game's difficulty seems to mellow down. The biggest threat aren't bosses anymore but random elites during sectors that may surprise two/three shot you if you aren't paying attention. I use my shock phantom for normal stages so that it doesn't get too easy using GC. I find that the best setup is not to go overboard with weapons/atk. It is far more valuable to equip an accessory that blocks damage, an accessory that heals HP when you are stationary for 5 sec, and a good weapon for that is not those crappy retaliation effect. Last equip is pretty much anything. Also, aim for greens with 3x good stats, or at least those with armor and life. As long as you sorta pay attention, you should be healing up any damage you take. Also, I was incredibly lucky to get an rare accessory that heals 50% of my HP. I got it fairly early on (crappy stats.. 200 hp 150 armor) but the healing is just sweet. Just a note, it is super annoying to get greens with low stats at high sectors... You would think that the devs will balance it such that at higher sectors, the minimun stat of an item should be a bit higher...
Hm what are the conditions for the healing 50% hp? I don't like the stationary heal items. I have a common item oddly that heals every 5 seconds and it's been amazing. Way better than all my green and blue items.
The thing with stationary effects (healing and probably reactor core generation) is that you don't need to be stationary for 5 consecutive seconds. It seems that the heal triggers even if you stay still for 1 sec, move, stay still for 1 sec, move, then stay still for 3 sec to complete all 5seconds. The other kind of accessory that heals you no matter what every 5 seconds is also great. I think sustaining yourself in battle is pretty much the most important effect in the game.
Wow- did not think to try that ability out. I assumed you had to stay stationary for 5 consecutive seconds (which would make it useless) but if it's 5 cumulative seconds then that makes it infinitely more useful. Does stationary mean finger off the screen or can you hold the ship in one position assuming you don't move a single pixel? At the moment I'm using heal on reactor usage abilities to heal which seems to be working well for me.
I've been trying out Golden Claw a bit and am not sure I see its 'glitch' effect. What does it do (intentionally or not) that makes it OP?
Golden Claw stuns everything it hits except bosses. Very useful against elites because you can basically stun lock them. Stationary probably means not moving very much. I don't need to lift my finger off screen to proc the 5sec stationary effects.
I have to agree simply by equipping more items for survivability. I've got item that grants a lot of damage bonus but instead decided to stick with 7% hp healing in 4/5 secs. I find that much more assuring for me to survive the stage rather than being a glass cannon. Some of the later elite or stage bosses employs shield that prevents all damage to them. U have got to survive their onslaught in order to hit them back. Usually means 5+ secs. I'm using GC now so elites matter little but boss can't be stunt locked so, usually it might be an endurance match.
Well, just a heads up to anyone about to buy their first 7-credit ship. I bought the Ravenstein, and after using it once I went back to the Strike Eagle stock ship. The Ravenstien shoots much more slowly and its "Electro Chain" doesn't make up for it.
So I finally got lucky and managed to score a very rare (orange) item with a healing skill. However, it isn't really working as it should do, for an item that is supposed to be really rare. I don't have a pic, but here are the details: Bastion Blaster MK-X (lvl 5) 1079 life; 350 armor Prime Vampire Strike: 10% chance when damaging an enemy to restore 3% of the damage as HP Basically, it only ever restores 31hp when active, as my stats give me ~1k damage. I have another piece of gear that gives me crits, which can amount to as much as 6k damage per shot with some ships. Still heals a measly 31hp. It just seems to be an extremely weak ability for a rare item. Furthermore, upgrading the item from level 1 to 5 did not affect the ability stats at all. To the dev, is this working as intended? I am very underwhelmed. Will go back to my lowly green item that restores 130hp every 5 seconds... Edit: for reference I have a green item with vampire strike ability that regens 132hp with an 8% chance per hit.
Has anyone actually managed to finish the game? Does it ever end? Once you kill the prosecutor is that it? I'm up to the prince and the story slows dramatically really boring. I have the best items which I would recommend would be having a 5sec shield that activates every 10secs, while having 40% chance to heal 400hp when hit, and the item which has 85% chance block 50% damage, U are godlike with those. You instantly heal 100% deliberately running into beans and bullets.
Suggestion for the app I love Gemini Strike. Even though I have crappy stats for someone in Sector 20 (209 Damage 142 Life 84 Armor) I manage to survive lol Anyway, suggestion to the dev. Is it possible to have separate accounts for the app? Like there's the online account whenever there's access to internet, and then there's the offline account that ACTUALLY saves progress. It ticks me off sometimes that when I don't have internet I always have to go back to the beginning of the game instead of it saving from where I started. I think it would be better if we could play two profiles. Either that or it's actually just my phone...
Any good strategy to get golden items? I'm in level 63. Can find a good strategy that isn't stocking up on credits and then buying rare items (cargo mission included). How can I up the odds of reciving a golden item?
I am up to sector 54 and the game seems to be getting a bit tedious. The story progression has slower to a crawl: I have done 3 full sectors just now without a single story pop-up and the secondary currency has become useless - I am over 39000, so even if I by some random chance came upon multiple golden items that would be an upgrade, I could instantly upgrade them to lvl5 with tons of currency remaining. And speaking of upgrades: has anybody EVER gotten anything better than greens from regular cargo you can pick up in normal levels? Every single purple and golden drop I've had so far (about 8-9 items) up to sector 54 has been from special cargo (either cargo missions or market).
And sector 55 boss is seriously >.< Is there any other trick to killing him besides going the endurance way, ie just swing wildly left and right to dodge his missiles and kill him with homing missiles?
Currently at sector 58. It's not hard just boring. The story basically has stopped after you start chasing the queen.
I love the game so far. I'd like to have the character art as wall papers. Or just legal access of the art. I like Jetty Jet's style. Forgot to mention, the game crashes whenever I stay in the inventory screen 'too long', like 3 or more minutes. It completely locks up.
It's kinda silly how stupidly powerful is the "restore 50% HP after 5 seconds of being stationary" prefix is compared to everything else, especially considering you don't have to stay stationary for 5 seconds in a row (it really should say "restore 50% HP every 5 seconds spent stationary". The "85% chance to block 50% damage from each hit" comes a close second. Basically, high HP and super strong defensive items rule this game.
since a few hours, i can't open my online profile, it sais the server is down, and then prompts me to make a new pilot profile...
