I've gotten as far as Sector 49 (I think) where the main character doesn't know what to do anymore and then the game resets me back to Sector 44, erasing any progress I had beforehand (including credits and gems). And it constantly keeps freezing when I try to equip the Aurora Fin V2. I'd upgrade it, equip it and when I click another button, it just freezes and when I force quit, it's been reversed back again.

Anyone know what to do? Or experienced it?

Anyone try out the "Lunar Core" module? I think I might have found a bug... here's the description:

"Reactor Overdrive: When a Reactor is used, it has a 25% chance to be recharged by a random color."

Played five missions already and haven't seen the effects, though maybe I'm just not paying close enough attention? If anyone is using that upgrade, does the second Reactor immediately activate? Maybe that's why I'm missing it.

themadbat, i am not complaining because i suck at this game. I probably do. I find it very difficult, like in Wayward souls where i struggle to beat the 4th dungeon and people have already cleared almost all of the game.
But i love WS because of it's difficulty and reward, and i would love this game too, if only..

I am complaining because in Gemini you have 0 benefits on offline mode, and every benefit and ability to enjoy all of the game's options for online, making it unbalanced between the modes.

Let's not call names here. Everyone's play style is different and the dev did say they would add more features to accommodate offline mode. I personally think the longer you grind, the more good items you will get. It took me a while to get a good set where I felt comfortable.

You're previous post makes it seem that you are bashing the game's difficulty and making other assumptions by just playing through TWO sectors. As for the game balance, I can assure you that advantages of buying new ships isn't really that big a deal (except for golden claw which is pretty broken). Basically, if you are having a hard time dodging stuff on screen, getting better gear won't really matter.

That being said, I agree with the offline/online arguement from a "fun" perspective. It is just really irritating to not be able to get credits and experience opening black market boxes in offline mode. Even if they aren't required to beat the game, it is nevertheless fun and exciting to get special boxes.

It is also doubly frustrating because there really aren't any features in this game that requires it to be permanently online. Devs should've just sticked to offline only unless they implement something that really requires internet connection like coop play or competitive leaderboards.

Does anyone have any tips for beating sector 27 boss? He fires a ton of those purple shots (a single hit by these takes my health to zero) followed by EMP balls.

Just dodge the purple ones, ignore the blue ones (getting hit by blues is fine, deals little dmg). Having shield may help if too hard to dodge.

As Sikuzo said, focus on dodging the purple shots, even if you get hit by the EMP's. It's the purple shots that will kill you. That being said, getting constantly hit by the EMP's will still kill you eventually so it might be good if you equip items that give you regeneration. Spending an extra credit to get out of this sector is also fine because this is probably the last boss that will give you any trouble.

So im saving up for my first ship purchase. Ignoring my playstyle what is the best ship i should get? I mean which ship is sort of a "best buy" that's good enough to get me through most of the game.
Or is there a "must-have" ship?
I wish we can test drive the ships before we buy or at least see a preview before we buy one :(

Just buy Golden Claw, it's a broken ship, stuns everything except bosses, can get u through the whole game. Buy Odin during mid game if you're having trouble surviving boss fights. Other ships you can buy to try out or have fun, there's a preview on golden claw on page 20 on this thread.

^ I personally don't recommend GC. It's fun to use and it's broken but it's basically like using a "glitch" to get through the rest of the game. I can see using it if you get further into the game and get stuck or you're bored of the game offerings. I bought the strongest Odin class ship which is super strong but I never use it because you barely put in any work once you have it. They're great trophy items but the game goes from normal difficulty to very easy with those ships. But ultimately it's up to you.

I prefer Sakura class ships as they're powerful and fast attacking. I still have to rely on hefty maneuvers to survive and to aim their sonic blast.

I had saved up for the GC but I think you're right about its glitchness. Just bought the middle tier Sakura. What exactly does the sonic blast do?

It shoots a strong sonic blast (looks like a disc) straight ahead every X amount of seconds. You can actually hear it. It makes a cool "rail gun" sound when it fires. It's purple if you're trying to look for it. The Sakura class ships also have the strongest damage output of all the ships.

So I just got into this game, quickly got to Sector 2 boss and now I seem to be stuck hard, the best I've managed to do was take down maybe 2/3 of his health after 15 or so attempts. I tried looking some some videos, but on the videos the fight looks way different/easier with the boss in my case utilizing different attacks from the ones shown in the video.

His missiles I can deal with, his bigger green projectiles I can almost deal with, the smaller and faster green projectives he launches in 2 circular waves in quick succession are the thing that's killing me. If lucky, I can avoid the damage from 1 of the 2 waves, that is, assuming I am not having to deal with either of his 2 other attacks at the very same time. Ideas?

i was in the same situation like you (see earlier posts) until yesterday i took the boss to 10% of the health and lost, and decided to use a credit. This allowed me to beat the sector 2 boss very easily, since it gives you some invulnerabillity for a couple of seconds. Now i am in sector 6 and moving strong, the bosses of sectors 3-4-5 i passed on the first try, they were a joke compared to the sector 2 boss.

If you dig back, a lot of people including me have trouble on him. Apparently the update says they even nerfed him! However the after failing about 5 times I used a credit and barely beat him. After that I beat the next area and got a bunch of loot and came back and beat the 2nd boss into submission.

In my opinion he's the hardest boss I've faced. At that point in the game you don't have enough items to make you very powerful and oddly enough the bosses that come after him are easier.

Does anybody know if the chance to get rares from secret cargoes/black market boxes go up in high level sectors?

Good to know that spending a credit to clear this sector is a sound investment. I have Golden Claw with mostly rare items and still I'm having trouble beating this boss.
