Well it's good that this game allows you to have so many different set ups. You're not "stuck" with one type of ship since there's unlimited variations.
Those are pretty damn good gear. I'm at sector 38 or so and only have 3pcs green gear and have only ever seen 1 gold gear. Are all those from pirate cargo quests? Or do you buy from black market?
Woot! Update is out with new relative controls. They work great. No more dragging my fingers all over the screen. Feels even smoother when i play now. I also noticed my ship doesn't jolt when i hit the power ups anymore. Great job devs! Look forward to some more story now and some more popularity for your game
What other things? I was just trying out the GC before the update and still had it equipped and it worked just fine. However I guess I should try to unequip and reequip the ship. Seems like it's the same to me. Still disappointed the loot chests cost 2. Now you have to decide if you want to save 2 up or use 2 up after bounty hunts.
Why is there such an imbalance towards the online play mode? I was very excited to finally give this game a go after getting the relative controls, i was waiting for them since launch. And getting credits for watching video advertisements? Perfect! i thought. So i redownloaded it, and i chose offline mode -whenever i can choose, i choose offline. I don't live in unlimited data plan countries, or constant cover wifi networks. Anyway... Finally managed to pass the first blockade in sector 2, and the sector 2 boss wiped the floor with me. BUT i saw the "buy ship" option.. and this is what really annoyed me. Stuck in offline mode, not only do i have no friend ship to help me, but i can't get credits - only after beating a boss. Where were the credits from videos? So i have to grind / restart the game save for better drops / grind until i am finally able to beat the sector 2 boss, to get 4!!! credits! While, if i was online, in 2-3 days i would have a new ship guaranteed, or i'd be able to buy more black market stuff, making the game infinitely more enjoyable. So in offline mode you can't get anywhere close to online mode, unless you pay - or you are the amazing thumberman -yes, reference to the new spidey game, that to get anywhere you also have to be online. I think it's a shame to have this imbalance between the game modes. Sadly, i will have to treat this like all the online-only games, and never bother with it again, unless an update balances things out. End of rant...
Didn't realize there was such a difference between on/offline modes. I've been playing in offline and the gold credits do seem pretty scarce. I'm considering switching to online. Do you have to be on Facebook to access it? Because I'm not on Facebook and don't plan to be. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.
Guise no fb needed, you can "play as guest" which is online mode without facebook. There you get 1 credit daily just for starting the app, plus the support of friends from gamecenter with the "friend ship". For sure it's much more enjoyable, but the constant internet connection isn't something that allows me to play "on the go, aka mobile gaming.. i really wish the dev would balance this.
Mine mission exploit has been fixed. Can no longer run off to top of the screen. Where do you see video ads for credit?
You know guys most credits you get are from bounty missions. I've been playing offline day one and I have about 25% of the ships right now. It's not all that bad. You'll get more online but it isn't such a big difference that I'd switch. I can still get the premium currency just fine.
I suck hard at bounty mission. In three weeks of playing I only succeeded once. Any tips? I tend to go in with strongest armor and health recovery standing still every 5 seconds. Can only shoot the boss when he's on top and trying to stay alive when he's on bottom. I'm starting to think it's worthwhile to use 1 credit to continue since you'll get 2 in return... Another question, do you get better than green boxes from the secret cargo missions?
Do have the item that recovers health % based on each enemy killed? That one is much better. I think the standing still ones are the worst. Currently i have health regen every 5 seconds but that item might be rarer. Tips for bounty would be to save the purple powerup. That's the best weapon for boses. Memorize where his first weakpoint will appear then when he is about to reveal the second weakpoint, use your power up so it hits right when it opens. You should be able to take down most of his health if you hit directly right when he opens his second weakpoint. Also use a missile item if you can. That way you can still hit the target while you're dodging his attacks (like when the ship is below you). You are right. If you fail you SHOULD use a continue. You will always get your credit back but only if you know you can win. Or else you just wasted 1. When I was bad, I used the continue. Do this and you should at least make something I believe the boxes are better for the cargo mission because they are green or higher. I've never bought the 3 point boxes from the store so I can't tell you if they're better but I believe they're the same just costing more.

They said they "should" be able to change the system and make daily rewards available for offline accounts. Unless the update secretly added it without saying so, it's not there yet... (I haven't gotten around to playing yet...)
It is there. I have gotten 2 credits in the last 2 days since the update, and I don't have a Facebook account. Just select Inbox on the friends option on the right side when there is an indicator.
But did you pick Offline? Because there's a Guest Online. Are you talking about the person-looking thing beside the gear (which is options)? Error: Social features are not available in an Offline account. It's not there then. Unless it's one of the locked features' buttons. But that's an odd thing for daily rewards to be. And no, it's not one of those, I just got them available. It is not there.
I'm also waiting for them to fix the inventory. I hate it when you look at an item, then go back out, then the page goes back to page 1. If they're going to do that at least add a comparison screen instead.
Oh, sorry, I assumed by offline you meant non-Facebook (online guest) instead of truly not connected to the Internet.
If you have a hard time beating sector 2 boss, you just plain suck... Online or offline doesn't really matter. Those "friend ships" are also plain stupid. While getting credits is nice, this game seriously isn't that difficult. There are only 2 bosses that are problematic. Sector 11 boss is really broken (EMP balls + scattering plasmas). Also a boss in sector 25+ish (forgot exact sector, but shoots a lot of burning shots that are hard to dodge). Aside from those, you can finish the entire game without even touching black market boxes.
