@JanG I read the game is about 8 hours long. How accurate is this? If so, this game is a steal at 3.99! To go along with length, is there any replay value? I know it's a linear narrative, but is there any freedom or player choice involved? Once I beat it the first time, why would I want to play through it again, beside experiencing the story again? Thanks
I think it will take most people about 8 hours as long as you don't peek at spoilers. I don't really want to give away too much about the story. Spoiler It is very much a complete narrative experience, not a branching one. But if you play it twice you see some things in a very different light.
Cool. I know what you mean about seeing things in a different light, that's happening for me as I play through Bioshock Infinite a second time. Slightly disappointed about the lack of branching, but I guess it's not that type of game and I'm definitely getting Gemini Rue on release day anyway. I was kind of hoping for a Walking Dead-esque sci fi noir, but I'll take a sci-fi noir with a great narrative too. And I read that there are shoot-outs and chases so I'm excited about that too
Yeah, there are shoot-outs and chases, but at least on the PC, where I played, they weren't really the highlights of the game. The shootouts were more of a chore and the chases not challenging. Still I did enjoy the game.
